I watched the AITF episode where Archie enters Joey in the Beautiful Baby Contest, against the wishes of Mike and Gloria.
I was reminded of a similiar episode on The Jeffersons, when George and Louise enter Jessica in a Baby Calendar Contest, again...against the wishes of Lionel and Jenny. This episode turned into a nightmare because they misplaced the baby or brought the wrong baby home. I forget.
I know there are only so many storylines to come up with, and shows are bound to recycle them after a while, but this one surprised me as The Jeffersons is a spinoff of AITF and because they were almost identical.
Of course, the AITF episode came first. ;)
