Anyone listen to Latin rock music?

I don't speak Spanish, only what I got from 4 years of high school and 1 year of college back in the olden days, but I've found some bands and I can't believe what great stuff there is out there.

Soda Stereo
Mana
Zurdok
Manu Chao (though more of a reggae, Mexicana, rock thing)
Gustavo Cerati (from Soda Stereo).

Beatles fans - check out Zurdok, heavily Beatles influenced and better than Oasis for my taste.

You don't know what you are missing.

Yes. I enjoy listening to Mana. I vaguely remember Soda Estereo, but I know they're cool.

Some other favs are Enanitos Verdes, Jaguares (formerly Los Caifanes), and Aterciopelado. These last ones, in my opinion, are influenced somewhat by Pink Floyd.

BTW, I prefer the terms Spanish Rock or Rock en Espaņol, due to the fact that their lyrics are in Spanish.
Latin Rock, to me, sounds too rumba or cha-cha, not that I have anything against these rhythms. Anyway, I guess everybody has their own way of referring to it. :)

I used "Latin Rock" for lack of a better term and to incorporate all rock music in Spanish (on this side of the Atlantic)- like Mana and Zurdok are from Mexico, Soda Stereo is from Argentina, Aterciopelados is from Columbia.

If you looked for these bands in the music store, you would look under Latin.

I hope this doesn't sound dumb, but does John Sekada qualify? His song, Just Another Day (without you) is one of my all time favorites.
On the CD, he sings it in Spanish too. Now I don't know a word of Spanish, but I can sing along with this version as if it's in English.

I love Latin music. Some of Shakira's songs classify as Latin rock. Actually, most people classify her music as Latin Rock. So...yeah...

Mana is okay. I have their Unplugged CD and its arite.

um...I wanna get Juguares and Aterciopelados...but yeah...i have like no money so that idea just went down the drain...anyway...

I love latin music...
