Chica, I was just about to ask if any of you were vmpire30. I too, have been keeping an eye on these clippings. I would have bid on them, but I don't want to bid against anyone here either. I hope you can get them and if you do, I hope you have a scanner so you can share them. One of the reasons I have bid on so much in the past is so I can post them at Ed Browns Garage (hue_mee's site) I think we (those on the boards) should get these precious Freddie items so we can share with all of Freddie's family! In the Ebay clippings, the pic of Freddie shirtless.I believe that is Ira Augustain instead of Freddie.If you notice their is the Freddie Prinze Story book sitting there.The book didn`t come out till after Freddie was gone.I may be wrong but ya`ll check it out and see what ya` think.By the way Ira was the guy who played Freddie in the movie,Can you hear the laughter.

You are soooo right, Cheryl! I thought exactly the same thing--at least until toward the end, when they show Freddie at the Jimmy Carter Inaugural Gala. For some reason, from that point on until the end Ira more closely resembled Freddie IMHO. The tragic irony is that the more crazy he portrayed Freddie as behaving, the more of Freddie I could see in him--especially the wide-eyed, haunted look he uses. I am not saying Freddie WAS crazy near the end of his life, but that he was probably more heavily under the influence of drugs. Ira's portrayal in these scenes is a very convincing one of a young man mired in self-hatred and paranoia brought on by drug abuse. Devastatingly sad, of course, but it struck me as believable--not of the facts of Freddie's tragic end but of the reason for it. The suicide scene is completely inaccurate but extremely frightening and compelling--like trying to pass a bad car accident without looking!
