Well, CATM was before the days when EVERYONE had a vcr in the house.... and I was so into Freddie that I actually took my little portable cassette player and put it next to the speaker on the TV and recorded the shows! I had forgotten I even had these tapes...I just a few of them in an old storage box at my mom's house. Darn, I wish we had a VCR then...I know I was soooo into him, I would have had all the shows!

LOL! I rememer those days! I still have a cassette tape of Chico and The Man I did long ago, but I put the recorder too close to the TV, where it was touching, so when it was played back, there was this loud buzzing and you could barely hear the show! Now its nothing but static and buzzing!
I also still have a cassette tape me and my friend did back in 1976--we put the recorder up to the radio and recorded the songs, but whenever the DJ would come on, we would grab the mike and pretend WE were the DJ's--our "radio station" was called "K-O-O-K"! LOL!

I taped the Monkee & WELCOME BACK KOTTER on cassette tape like that LOL! I've tape music off the radio on cassette & reel to reel tape when I was a kid & teenager. I thought that was so high tech then. & Then they came out with VCR's...

Mine cruses went like this: Beatles/

Paul Revere & the Raiders plus Beatles/

Beatles, Raiders, Monkees/

Beatles, Bobby Sherman, Monkees/

Beatles, Monkees, Bobby Sherman, David Cassidy Donny Osmond & Osmonds/

Then became a big John Travolta fan, then became a big Monkees fan, then became a big Shaun Cassidy Fan, then became a big fan of Tommy James of the 60's group Tommy James & the Shondells, then became a big Arlo Guthrie fan & then Freddie Prinze here in 2001.

I was gonna marry all of them except Arlo & Freddie as Arlo & Freddie I got into after getting married LOL!

I'm currently a huge fan of & collect on John Travolta, the Monkees, Shaun Cassidy, Tommy James of the 60's group Tommy James & the Shondells, Arlo Guthrie & Freddie Prinze. Arlo & Freddie seem to be my 2 biggest obsessions right now... http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

Paul Revere & the Raiders were a popular rock group in the 60's with lead singer Paul Revere (yes, his real name) & Mark Lindsay. They wore old colonial style revoltionary war type costumes with the tri-cornered colonial hats. Some of their hit songs were KICKS, JUST LIKE ME, HUNGRY, THE GREAT AIRPLANE STRIKE, LET ME etc... Just some info on them. They were good...

I think I liked all the above-mentioned guys at one time or another during my adolescence--I just wonder where I was when it came to Freddie?!!! I have been told that my family watched CATM together but I really don't remember, even though I was old enough that I should and that I would have noticed Freddie for the handsome guy he was!

Re Paul Revere and the Raiders, anyone else like their song "Indian Reservation"? That was probably my favorite one that they did, and I think it sparked my interest in Native Americans.
