C.D.'s mom told her she loved her, but do you think she really loved her if she didn't stop Ricky from doing what he did?

I personally think C.D's mom loved her, but that she loved herself and her social status more. It's sad when you can't put your children before youserlf, if ya ask me.

I think she loved her, but feared that if she said something or tried to stop Rick that he might hurt or kill them both, because he did tell CD to keep it between them. Also I think she never brought it up because CD never did and she probably figured that she didn't want to talk about it. I don't know, maybe it will be discussed in the future.

I am sure CD's mom loves her. I think her mom was just afraid to tell about what she saw that between Ricky and CD.

IMO...

CD's mother was more concerned about being alone than the welfare of her child...she was afraid that Rick would leave her if she confronted him. It was easier for her to pretend that it never happened than to confront her boyfriend because she didn't want to lose him.

She seemed to think the whole thing would just disappear if she didn't acknowledge to CD or Rick that it ever happened.

Even now it was easier to lose herself in the stupid sunflower girls than to speak honestly with her daughter. The woman didn't even know CD had short hair....and did you see that dress,,as if CD would've been caught dead in that ugly thing?? Talk about not knowing your daughter!!

Overall the Mother seemed like one of those people that hide their heads in the sand when a problem occurs rather than face it head on. I suppose she loves CD but I also think she was selfish and weak for letting anyone do that to her child.

Yup ditto. Probably afraid that he would come after them both
