Frasier W. Crane 01-14-2003, 12:52 AM Maybe this will bring in the ratings for Becker, having a hit comedy (from the movie) right before. Heck, pretty soon, i'm not gonna know where Becker is if CBS keeps this up!
Chocoholic 01-21-2003, 09:40 PM Cool! Now, I don't have to wait until The Simpsons are in reruns to catch up on Becker.
callmetootie 01-23-2003, 11:58 AM Hmmm....this probably means that Becker will go on hiatus for almost all of March when Charlie Lawrence comes in...rumor has it that it'll go in Sundays at 8:30. CBS is playing around with their schedule far too much. My guess is that MGFGL will get pretty mediocre ratings, but Becker will stay the same.
Frasier W. Crane 01-23-2003, 01:15 PM CBS really has thrown "Becker" around too much this season. Do they even care about the show? Its like they are not even noticing its around...lets just hope all will be O.K.:)
Scoobiedoo30 01-23-2003, 01:25 PM Yes I think Becker will make it in it's new time period
Infact Becker was first scheduled to come on at 8:30 pm in September of 2002 and I do think it Becker will make it at 8:30 pm

Frasier W. Crane 01-23-2003, 02:02 PM It will have a good lead in. That's all i'm gonna say for the rest of this topic.
callmetootie 01-23-2003, 02:42 PM My Big Fat Greek Life will be hit-or-miss. Movies adapted to the small screen have never worked unfortunely...Delta House, Ferris Bueller, etc. My honest opinion is that CBS isn't taking care of Becker because it's their lowest rated sitcom, and are going to put it on hiatus through March to experiment with Charlie Lawrence at 8:30. Trust me on this one. CBS only cares about dramas, and monday night comedies. You never see Becker promos...now do you? You see otehr stuff like Raymond being promoted. But many shows will have to go on hiatus probably for CBS sitcoms. King Of Queens has been rumoed to go on hiatus for Baby Bob to come in and reak havoc among us again.
Frasier W. Crane 01-23-2003, 03:48 PM OK, maybe THIS will be my last post on this topic:
I still don't understand why they had to move "Becker" from Monday's to Sunday's. I 100% say that "Becker" would have better ratings if it stayed there. Put "Still Standing" on Sunday's. That's just a "Raymond" rip-off.
callmetootie 01-23-2003, 04:04 PM I have to agree and disagree with you at the same time there. Yes, Becker would've done better on Mondays, but I think that CBS wanted to experiment on Sundays to see if they could build a solid comedy line-up that was lead by a hit sitcom. The victim was Becker. If SS had been on Sundays, it would've had no good lead-in though, and Sundays would be pretty much empty. So I agree and disagree with you.
Frasier W. Crane 01-23-2003, 04:10 PM I understand, it's just that a lot of people wish Becker would be back to Mondays.
callmetootie 01-23-2003, 04:26 PM Well...of course I wish it were on Mondays too. I think that the main problem on Sundays, is that both 8:00 and 8:30 timeslots are doomed. 8:00 is right after 60 Minutes, and putting a sitcom there is not right. A drama there is the best thing, which would take both timeslots. However, the 8:00 is not nearly as dreadful at the 830 one. It's the lead-in to the dreaded CBS movies. Nothing that goes there is usually a hit, unless it's REALLY good. I can see Charlie Lawrence is that slow doing good for some reason though...TV Guide is calling it the next "Ellen". Bram & Alice on the other hand got bad critical acclaim, bad audience response, and had NO star-power. Too bad it wasn't mid-season, AFTER Mr. Molina hit it big with Frida. MGFGL will do worse that becker did in that timeslot....I just know it. Adapting something so great and funny like that to the small screen will kill it. Now back to Becker. Face it...CBS hates Becker. It was basically the lowest rated show on Mondays (although the ratings were good), and CBS treated it like it was trash. They made the mistake of taking such a great show, and using and milking it to create a big comedy line-up on Sundays. It didn't work. Only fans watch it now, and no one else can discover the freshness of it. I hate CBS...I hate ABC and NBC too but that's beside the point. There is always a way to make everyone happy, and make it so that every show gets their right timeslot. NBC has probably done the best job with putting and keeping shows where they belong, but CBS and ABC are evil to their shows. This entire Practice moving to Mondays and new dramas will KILL the network which had hit it to big with 8SR on Tuesdays. CBS has only done well with Tuesdays. Every network has their best and worst nights. CBS's best night is Monday. Their worst is Wednesday. This is of course in ratings. ABC's best night is Tuesday. Their worst night is Saturday. NBC's best night is Thursday. Their worst night is Tuesday. Now back to Becker again! Becker will definatly get another season...trust me. And CBS WILL get their acts together. They will create another night of comedy, and put dramas on Sunday. This way everyone's happy, and ham tastes goooood! There you go...my full evaluation. I give evaluations on any show you want...my predictions are always accurate. E-mail me if you want a show analyzation!
