BRIDGET REFUSES TO SPEAK WITH KERRY AFTER DISCOVERING THAT HER LITTLE SISTER KISSED KYLE, ON “8 SIMPLE RULES FOR DATING MY TEENAGE DAUGHTER”

The Classic “Three’s Company” Set Was Recreated for This Episode in Which Paul Dreams that His Daughters are Living with Swinging Bachelor Kyle

“Come and Knock on Our Door” – After discovering that boyfriend Kyle kissed Kerry at a party (the previous episode, "Kerry's Big Adventure," airing Jan 21), Bridget gives her sister the silent treatment – which is anything but quiet for Paul. But real life merges with fantasy when Paul has a dream that lands him in familiar territory, showing Kyle as a swinging bachelor living
with Paul’s two beautiful daughters in an apartment straight out of the ‘70s. The set of the classic comedy “Three’s Company” was recreated down to the last detail for this episode, on “8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter,” TUESDAY, JANUARY 28 (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

“8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter” stars John Ritter as Paul Hennessy, Katey Sagal as Cate Hennessy, Kaley Cuoco as Bridget Hennessy, Amy Davidson as Kerry Hennessy and Martin Spanjers as Rory Hennessy.

Guest starring are Billy Aaron Brown as Kyle, Baelyn Neff as Inga, Jenny J. Wade as Helga and Artie Lee Anderson as TV announcer (v.o.).

“Come and Knock on Our Door” was written by Philip Wen & Bill Callahan and directed by James Widdoes.

”8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter” is broadcast in 720 Progressive (720P), ABC's selected HDTV format, with 5.1-channel surround sound.

A TV parental guideline will be posted closer to airdate.

:D Thanks for the scoop Pav, I am very anxious and I'm thrilled that they will be doing a Three's Company dream sequence on 8 Simple Rules, the plot sounds like it will fit into the show. I can't wait to see how they capture and recreate the set from TC and what the characters will be like. I definately would like to see how the episode turns out!

That's so cool! I watch 8 Simple Rules every week, in fact, I've followed most of the careers of the Three's Company stars. I've watched John Ritter on "Heart's Afire" and "Hooperman", Suzanne Somers on "Step By Step" and "She's The Sheriff", Ann Wedgeworth on "Evening Shade", and Jennilee Harrison on "Dallas". I've seen Joyce DeWitt, Priscilla Barnes, Don Knotts, Richard Kline, Norman Fell, and Audra Lindley on guest-appearances on other shows.

I voted for Three's Company to be put on DVD, season by season at /tvshowsonDVD.com/ I encourage everyone to do the same to get this classic show on DVD!

I've also done this. I hope they release it on DVD within the next few years. It would be great to see it on the DVD format. I've heard that last year DLT said they were considering it, hopefully they'll decide to put it on DVD sometime soon.

I'm looking forward to the 8SR episode. The pictures look great! I watch it every week also, but I'm looking forward to this episode more than the others.

Anyone see the similar spoof in John's 1992 movie "Stay Tuned"? Funniest scene in the film, when he gets zapped into the TC set, trips over the couch, gets up and two Janet and Chrissy clones come in the door. The theme comes on and they go "Where have you been?!"
