Dating black women can be a trip. I should know, i've had my share of dealing with them. Black women are very difficult to get along with especially when you're dating them. Now white women on the other hand seem easier to get along with. I've only dealt with one white girl before as a girlfriend but she had 3 kids. I don't wanna be bothered with a woman who has kids. This white girl i dated liked black guys but we didn't date long. We split up after a few weeks. I don't know why she wanted to stop seeing me. I think in the future i'm gonna try my hand at dating more white girls & see what happens. There are some white girls out here who have nice bodies & have nice personalites & they don't give u a hard time like black women do. This is just some advice to the white guys on here who've never dated black women. I'm letting ya'll know don't waste your time with black women unless u want to. I love my black sistas but like i said they're a pain in the a##.

I'm not sure that I would call Isaiah's comment racist since he is black himself. It may be calling passing judgment on a certain kind of woman overall. For those of you who aren't black that posted to his reponse I do agree with him to a degree. Some black women do trip and that is the honest truth. I also agree with the fact that men can be dogs as well. I'm a guy and agree with that because I see how guys act when it comes towards women and believe that they can treat women better. However I don't consider myself in the dog catergory. We are all human beings and have feelings. I don't think men should look at women as an object to score points with. I am totally against that mess.

Isaiah, just remember all black women are not the same. There are some good black women out there. I am not with the "black should marry black and white should marry white only theory. Man and Woman is the main thing overall. If you get to know a person well enough, you go beyond appearance and see them for who they really are. God knows who I will end up with and I will not care if they are black or white. Big Deal. I have some famliy members who have the black/white issue but it's like I want to say, "Get over it".

There are black women who say the same about black guys so it's one of those crazy things. IT was touched on on an episode of "Fresh Prince". Will's Aunt Janice was married to a white guy and he wanted to rub her feet and Will's Aunt Helen said this in response:

I cracked up when I heard that. I didn't take offense to that.

There are a lot of convoluted twists in the black/white/dating theory but if you know who you are and know that you don't fall into that category, be at peace.

I feel the same way. Just like when that 38 year old Spanish/Mexican (Im not sure) guy asked me out. I was not attracted to him at all and I felt uncomfortable. Not all of it was because he was a different race, but a lil piece of me felt that way. Im not racist and I dont totally refuse to date outside my race, but Im just not naturally attracted to other ethnics. But, when I fall in love, its not going to be because the man is white. I dont care if hes black, brown, orange, or Al Borland Plaid-- I love them for them.

I really and truly don't care about that stuff. What if I meet my soul mate tomorrow and he happens to be a different color than me? I say who cares. My parents would be the main trouble. I've already discussed how they act, so I won't go into that here. I love my parents, but the way they think is so screwed up.

If I have one chance at happiness, I have to go for it. I believe each person has one soul mate. One, that's it. I don't buy into the all the fishes in the sea bit. One person was meant to be with me and I was meant to be with him. If I screw up the chance with that one person, then I guess either I'll get a second chance or it just wasn't meant for me to be married anyway.

I'm still not sure I want to even get married. In Psychology class I found out that if you're a girl, you're gonna marry someone like your father. And if you're a guy, you're gonna marry someone like your mother. It just scares me to think that somewhere, someone is raising Archie Bunker III.

Why the hell am I talking about marriage? Geez, the topic was about dating. I get so off topic. Anyway, the rule applies for dating too. I'm my own person and I will date whoever I want. I'm not going to pass up a sweet and gentle guy, just because he isn't my color. That's just crazy.

I didn't mean to generalize black women & say they're all like the ones i've dated but it seems like the ones i meet always got kids & if they don't have kids, they like to smoke weed a lot & get drunk & go to the clubs a lot. I forgot to say that it seems to me that black women out of any other race of people seem to have babies at a younger age. I wish that would stop cause these black women who have kids at a young age don't wanna take care of them & then the baby father's don't stay around to help the woman take care of the babies. These young black men are so quick to get a black woman pregnant & then don't wanna take care of their responsibility.

God, I wished I could kill roaches by myself. In Georgia we have some big ass bugs and some of the roaches fly. Oh, lucky me. :( See, I can handle the bug if it can't fly. If it's just crawling on the floor, I can squish it with my shoe. The roaches are stubborn little bastards too. You really got to squish the hell out of them and splatter guts in order to make sure their really dead.

I just can't handle the flying ones. If I manage to kill it, it takes me like 2 hours to kill it. I have my broom nearby and I'm wearing my shoes, so I'm ready to kill one if I see one. I just really freak out when I see one. My heart starts racing and I start to hypervenilate.

I hope your friend is okay too. I've seen it too many times before too. I just hate it when someone comes along and they tell you what to wear, what to do, who you should listen too, how you should wear your hair. It's just not fun to sit through that. I'm not going to stay with the guy if he is controlling. It's just not worth it. I'd just leave and get on with my life.

So True. So True. I have had friends like that. B4 I bring anyone into marriage, I will get hte money first and houses and cars. I don't want my future wife working unless she wants to and that's that. I have have observed issues with other people and their relationships, heck even in my own family and learn from the mistakes made.

Your father has some serious competition- my father. My father does the exact same thing that your father does. It's just embarassing to me. I'm just embarassed when my father says words like that. Hate to say it, but my mother is starting to get really bad with the 'N' word too. I hate that word so much.

I'm white and I did date a black woman. She was real sweet and kind. The only reason I broke up with her is because she wanted to get too serious to fast for my liking. Not all black women are how you say isiahthomas. There are plenty of white girls out there who could be difficult too. You cannot stereotype ALL black women.

Sure, Id date outside of my race, hispanic/black/asian or whatever and Im white......I never really understood why ppl get uncomfortable cuz of some little difference like someone's skin being darker than yours or whatever....

I've never dated a black woman for 2 reasons -

1. There are very, very few black people who live in my area. About 99.9% of people round here are white. There are a few Chinese people (I think Chinese women are cute) but that's about the only variation we have.

2. I don't find black women particularly attractive. And that isn't a racist statement - I'm in no position to diss minority groups cos, being gay, I've been given crap by narrow-minded fools all my life. I'm not about to discriminate against anyone else, it's just a personal preference. Just as I don't find chubby people, or red-headed people attractive, I don't find black people attractive. It's nothing more than a personal preference.

Although I do feel that the thread-starter was generalising a bit. You can't say that all black women are trouble, that they all smoke weed etc etc. That is stereotyping and stereotyoes can be very dangerous.

Have I ever dated an African-American man? No, but I am dating a Caucasian man (I have sworn not to use colors to define people). I'm not Caucasian, I'm Indian. Did I feel iffy about dating him? Of course, all my life I was told that only Indian guys can date Indian girls and here comes this sweet, wonderful guy who doesn't have the same skin color as me.

I remember when I first went to his house for dinner. His mom made steak, her famous famous FAMOUS steak. She places it in front of me and I had to explain to her that I don't eat meat. His father, who says everything that comes to his mind whether it's nice or not, blurted out, "Now what kind of a stupid vegetarian habit is this? Meat's good for you." I had to explain to him that I don't eat meat because it's part of my religion. I did sense racist feelings in that comment. His only son was dating, in his eyes, a freak.

That's why when they tell me that, i kinda stop approaching women cause i get tired of hearing that same old line just cause they don't feel like being bothered or they could be telling the truth. I betcha if i was in showbiz i would probably get a lot of women cause beautiful women in showbiz deal with ugly dudes just cause they got money. I'm ugly by no means but i'm just saying that.

I understand where you're coming from in a way. I was considering bringing up this topic myself out put it off.

I'm just curious, why do so many of you think that Lucy Fan is racist? Iv'e only been coming to the chit chat boards for a few months, so maybe I missed something. Anyway in regards to race relations as long as a woman is kind, and a good person I would go out with them regardless of what color they are.
