F*O*L 1988 01-12-2003, 10:56 AM That's a shame.:(
Central Perk 01-12-2003, 11:50 AM The FOX News Channel said he died of a Heart Attack. Anyways thats really sad that he died, 53 is too young to die, imo.
fr00ti 01-12-2003, 11:56 AM Whoa. I really cant believe hes dead.
Cactus Jack 01-12-2003, 12:12 PM Me neither :crying:
Jimbo 01-12-2003, 12:35 PM This is very sad. He is the second of the Gibbs Brothers to pass away much too soon. Andy Gibb died a number of years ago of a drug overdose. I believe he was about 30 years old at the time.
My condolences to the surviving Gibbs Brothers, and their family.
Mysty Eyes 01-12-2003, 12:53 PM :( R.I.P. Maurice Gibb :(

Penny Lane 01-12-2003, 04:20 PM RIP Maurice:( :( :(
Janice 01-12-2003, 08:23 PM This is heartbreaking. I grew up listening to The Bee Gees. They could harmonize like no other group and were hit machines in the 60s and 70s.
I have their music video, One Night Only. It's their 1997 MGM Grand concert performance in Las Vegas.
It's wonderful. On a full-screen behind them, the scene (from Saturday Night Fever) plays with John Travolta walking with that can of paint as they sing Stayin' Alive as well as shots of Travolta on the dance floor in that famous white suit.
There's a montage of Andy Gibb (complete with baby pictures) as they sing his hit song, Don't Throw it All Away (our love).
At the end, another montage with home movies of the 3 brothers with their wives and children.
They sing all of their hits. It's 110 minutes of wonderful entertainment and a must-have for any Bee Gee's fan. I'll have to watch it later, but it will seem strange. :(
Maurice always seemed to be the quiet one to me...never the front man like his brother Barry.
I feel very bad about the passing of this man...the one with the long coat and hat.
I've always loved the Brothers Gibb.
JDS84 01-12-2003, 10:20 PM I heard that on the news today. Very sad :(
That is really sad I heard he was sick, but I guess I figured he would get better. :(

That's what I thought too. He went in for surgery, so I figured he'd be okay too.

They say celebrities always die in 3's.
Charlie Max 01-18-2003, 02:46 AM It's Saturday, 12:35 AM. I'm listening to my MP3s on shuffle mode and surfing the Net. I don't know if this is coincidence, but 2 of the Gibb brothers' songs played almost consecutively. Andy Gibb's "Shadow Dancing," then after 1 or 2 tracks, the Bee Gees' "Too Much Heaven." Now
I'm posting in this thread. May Maurice's and Andy's legends live on.
