Ive never posted a FOL fan-fic before so Im gonna do it in parts I hope some of you will help me out with suggestions and constructive criticism.

The scene opens in the living room where Jo is watching television. Blair enters the room brushing her hair.

Blair- Isnt it just a wonderful day?

Jo watches her television show and pays no attention to Blair

Blair hums a bit and repeats herself

Blair- Isnt it a wonderful day?

Jo finally responds obviously irritated

Jo- What is it Blair?

Blair- Oh nothing(rather nonchalant)

Jo- Allright Blair out with it you wouldnt have repeated yourself if you didnt want me to ask you what was up?

Blair- Oh nothing much Im just going to be in a television commercial is all.

Jo- Yea? Are you gonna be eating cat or dog food?

Blair( raising her voice)- Jo you are always so jealous of me! You can never be happy for me.

Jo(sarcastically)- So how did you get to be in a commercial?

Blair- My father knows this man who was looking for someone photogenic to be in a commercial for RV company and naturally I was recomended.

Jo- Naturally.

Just then Mrs. Garrett. enters the room.

Mrs. Garret- What was all the fuss from you two? I could hear the both of you in the kitchen?

Jo- Oh nothing Mrs. G its just Heather Locklear here thinks she's gonna be in the movies.

Blair- Your just jealous, that you arent ever scouted for these types of opportunities!

Jo- Oh Blair! The only reason anYthing happens for you is because Daddy Warbucks makes it happen.

Mrs Garrett- Thats enough from you two! Jo Im surprised at you, you should be happy for Blair! And Blair you shouldnt say such mean things to Jo!

Blair- Im sorry Mrs Garrett but Im tired of Jo's sarcastic remarks

Jo- And Im tired of looking at the silver spoon in your mouth!

Mrs. Garrett(yelling) Enough! You two have been at it for days and Im tired of it. You are going to have to learn to get along. So for the next two weeks I want the two of you to go everywhere together, eat together, sleep in the same room together. EVERYTHING TOGETHER.

Jo(obviously stunned) Youve got to be kidding Mrs. G?

Blair- theres no way.

Mrs. Garrett- I mean it! Ive had it with your bickering you too are going to learn to get along with one another or your going to kill one another!

Mrs Garrett leaves the room and the two girls are obviously not happy with the punishment layed down by Mrs G.

The scene changes to the girls bedroom where Natalie is studying and Jo and Blair are arguing about the days events.

Jo- Blair, I dont see the need in going with you to that commercial shooting.

Blair- You heard Mrs. Garrett we are supposed to do everything together, and you arent getting me into trouble.

Jo- Well if you hadnt have been so vain, we wouldnt be in this mess!

Natalie raises up from her textbook

Natalie- Cant you see Im trying to study here? Sheesh!

Jo- Im sorry Natalie, but if I have to spend one more day with this primadonna Im gonna scream!

Blair- Its been no treat spending every waking minute with this grease monkey.

The two girls face off nose to nose when Natalie intervenes

Natalie- Hey if you two are gonna duke it out could you do it outside. Ive got my own battles to conquer(pointing at her textbook) like the war of 1812!

The two girls leave the room and Natalie shakes her head and goes back to her textbook.

The scene changes to the kitchen where Mrs. Garrett and Tootie are shelling peas.

Tootie- Boy, Mrs Garrett shelling peas isnt as easy as it looks, how come you make it look so easy?

Mrs. Garrett- Ive had a lot of practice Tootie

Tootie- Mrs. Garrett how come you are making Jo and Blair spend so much time together.

Mrs. Garrett-(looks up from her work and paused)- Because I want them to get closer. They shouldnt fight all of the time

Tootie- I dont know if thats possible!

Mrs Garrett(smiling)- They think more of each other than you think Tootie, they just have a hard time showing it. Youll see one day they will be close friends and they will thank me for this.

Tootie- I just hope they dont kill each other before they make it!

Jo and Blair enter the room arguing!

Blair- Mrs. Garrett, Tell Jo that she has to go with me to the commercial shoot.....unless of course you dont think she should.

Mrs Garrett- Oh no! You two will go together.

Jo- Come on Mrs. G Ive barely been able to stand Blair. I dont think Ill be able to handle a bunch of rich society types at that place.

Mrs. Garrett- You are going together or noone goes. Is that clear?

Jo and Blair(halfheartedly in unison) Yes Mrs. Garrett.

The two leave the room and Mrs. Garrett resumes her pea shelling.

Tootie- You see what I mean?

Mrs. Garrett smiles at Tootie and takes a deep breath and resumes shelling her peas.

The scene changes to the television studio where Blair and Jo are just walking in.

Jo- I cant believe that Im actually at this place I can think of a hundred other things I'd rather be doing?

Blair- Name one that doesnt involve dirt and oil.

Jo- Just hurry up and get this over with I need to get back home Ive got things to do.

Blair goes to the receptionist which is on the phone.

Blair(clearing her throat) Excuse me miss

Receptionist(speaking on the phone) Thats right! I told him he could either take me to a classy restaurant or he could take me home.

Blair(clearing her throat again) Um, Miss excuse me

Receptionist(covering the phone up with her hand) Cant you see Im busy?

Blair- Yes, but Im here for very important business, Im here to see Mr. Tubberfill.

Receptionist- Well dear there are lots of people waiting to see Mr Tuberfill, youll just need to sign in and wait with the rest of the girls.

Blair- What do you mean the rest of the girls.

Receptionist- Look around honey this is an audition for a commercial. What did you think?

Blair- My father told me I was getting the job.

Receptionist- Well you may, but your still gonna have to wait your turn, Mr Tubberfill is seeing other girls right now, now sign in and take a seat please.

Blair obviously irritated and her ego shot, signs the list and goes back and sits next to Jo.

Jo- Well, lets get this show on the road Blair I dont have all day.

Blair- Well it seems you might. I had to sign in this is an audition.

Jo- Audition? Blair Im not waiting around all day Im outta here!

Blair- Jo if you leave I swear Ill tell Mrs. Garrett.

Jo huffs and plops back into her chair

Jo- What happened? I thought Daddy Warbucks got you the job already.

Blair- Well apparently he was misinformed.

Jo- Yeah, apparently.

The scene fades back into the waiting room where Jo is slumped in her chair asleep after the long wait and Blair is waiting impatiently.

Receptionist(calling aloud)- Blair Warner?

Blair stands up and Jo rouses up

Blair- Its my turn Jo, You can stay in here if youd like?

Jo- No way, If Ive gone this far Im going in, besides I wouldnt miss you bomb for the world

Receptionist(a little louder this time) Last call for Blair Warner!

Blair- Im here miss.

Receptionist(pointing to the door behind her)- Then I suggest you go in there before you lose your turn.

The two girls walk in and the scene changes to Mr. Tubberfills office.

Mr. Tubberfill(noticing that there are two girls)- One at a time please.

Blair- Oh Im sorry sir, Im Blair Warner(putting emphasis on Warner) and this is my friend Jo she is just along for moral support.

Jo grimaces and Mr. Tubberfill obviously not impressed with the Warner last name hands Blair a piece of paper.

Mr. Tubberfill- Ok, Blair please read the lines highlighted and try to act natural.

Blair fluffs her hair and glances at her sheet.

Blair(in the most dramatic voice she can muster)- Either at the ballgame or across the country, Youll always be at home in a Tubberfill RV.

Mr. Tubberfill rolls his eyes and Jo tries to stifle a laugh.

Mr. Tubberfill- Ms. Warner, You dont have to be so melodramatic, just try again and be yourself. Be natural.

Jo(not being able to resist herself)- excuse me sir, but that is herself.

Blair cuts her eyes at Jo and reads the line once again and very nervously trying to act natural...she stammers

Blair- Either at the ballgame...uh..or across the country, Youll always be at home in a Tubberfill RV.

Mr. Tubberfill rolls his eyes once more and Jo stands up next to Blair and grabs the paper with good intentions trying to help

Jo- Blair just read it like you would say it "Either at the ballgame, or across the country youll always be at home in a Tubberfill RV."

Blair- Oh ok.

Mr. Tubberfill- Wait thats it, thats exactly what I want!

Blair- Ok, Ill read it that way then

Mr. Tubberfill- No, No, You dont understand I need this young lady(pointing at Jo) to read this line. She represents everything I want. Young pretty and everyday teenage girl.

Blair- But Mr. Tubberfill, she's not even trying out!

Mr. Tubberfill- Its of no matter, she is what I want.

Jo- Hey now wait a minute I was just trying to help out I dont want to be in a commercial

Blair- Thats right Mr. Tubberfill Jo just isnt acting material.

Jo- Just a minute hot stuff I can do it.

Mr. Tubberfill- Sure you can, When can you start?

Jo- I can do it but I aint!

Mr. Tubberfill- It pays five hundred dollars.

Jo- I can start tomorrow.

Blair looks at Jo in disbelief and Mr. Tubberfill stands and shakes Jo's hand, and Jo stands there elated but also wondering what she had just done.

End of scene 5

The scene changes to the living room where Ms. Garrett is reading and Natalie and Tootie are watching television.

Blair enters the house very quickly and Jo is right behind her and Blair is obviously upset.

Blair- Mrs. Garrett you can just have me kicked out of school or even out of this house but I will not spend one more minute with that traitor!

Jo- Hey I didnt ask for it and you know it Blair! It fell in my lap.

Mrs. Garrett- Does someone wanna tell me whats goin on?!!!

Blair- Ill tell you! Blair stole my big opportunity is all!

Tootie(leaning over and says quietly to Natalie)- This is gonna get good.

Natalie nods.

Mrs. Garrett- What is this all about Jo?

Then the girls start trying to explain simutaneously and they start talking so loud that Mrs. Garrett gets furious and cant understand.

Mrs. Garrett(yelling) SILENCE!!!!

Theres a brief pause and Mrs. Garrett takes a deep breath and calms herself down.

Mrs. Garrett- Now, I want the both of you to sit over there on the couch and I will let the both of you explain to me what happened. I dont want either of you to interrupt the other.

Ms. Garrett then rubs her temples and exclaims"Youre gonna make me have a nervous breakdown!"

Ms. Garrett- Blair you go first

Blair- Well, We got to audition....

Ms. Garrett(interupting)- audition? I thought you already had the job?

Jo- hmmph!

Ms. Garrett- Jo I said no interruptions.

Blair- Well it didnt quite work out that way, so anyway when it was finally my turn to audition, I was doing a wonderful job then Benedict Arnold over there(pointing to Jo) got up out of her chair and stole the job from me.

Ms. Garrett- Jo, How did you steal the job.

Jo- Ms. G I wasnt trying to steal the job, I was just trying to help Blair because she was having a little trouble with her lines, and Mr. Tuberfill, the owner of the company, asks me to take the job.

Blair- You practically threw yourself at him!

Jo- What?!! Are you crazy, After two minutes of hearing your pathetic excuse for acting he was desperate to hear someone else.

Mrs. Garrett- Thats enough name calling out of you two! Blair why did he offer you the job?

Jo- Well I was trying to help Blair read the lines more natural like the man asked and he picked me, I didnt want the job I was trying to help.

Blair- I didnt ask for your help.

Ms. Garrett- Well Jo if you didnt want the job, why didnt you turn it down.

Jo- He offered me five hundred clams thats why!

Mrs. Garrett- Well I dont like this at all. Jo, I dont like your motivation but you have a right to take the job if you want to.

Blair- But Mrs. Garrett!

Mrs. Garrett- Blair, its unfortunate that you didnt get the job, but you cant stop Jo from having it if she wants it.

Blair is so mad that she storms up the steps to her room and Jo follows after her with a big smile on her face.

Mrs. Garrett- Jo, Where are you going.

Jo(with a hint of sarcasm and smiling) Hey just following the rules, gonna go with her.

Mrs. Garrett- Not this time Jo, I think we can call a truce for a while. You had better stay down here for a while.

Jo is obviously dissapointed but she obeys Mrs. Garrett and goes out the door.

Mrs. Garrett sits on the couch obviously torn about what to do

Tootie looks over at Natalie

Tootie- Looks like Ms. Garretts plan to bring Jo and Blair closer isnt working.

Natalie- Nope.

End of scene six

The scene changes to the bedroom where Blair is lying on her bed facedown in the pillow obviously crying.

Knock at the door

Blair(crying) Who is it?

Mrs. Garrett- Its me may I come in Blair?

Blair(still crying)- I suppose I cant stop you.

Mrs. Garett opens the door and walks into the room Blair sits up and Mrs. Garrett takes a seat at the foot of the bed.

Mrs. Garrett- Blair? Are you crying?

Blair(wiping her eyes and still sobbing) no.

Mrs. Garrett pulls out a handkerchief and dries Blairs eyes.

Mrs. Garrett- Oh Blair you shouldnt get so upset.

Blair- I cant help it Mrs. Garrett, I hate Jo I wish she would just leave.

Mrs. Garrett- Now Blair, You dont really mean that do you?

Blair just sits there silently.

Mrs. Garrett- You and Jo have had a lot of fun times together, You are alot like sisters you two.

Blair- How do you mean?

Mrs. Garrett- You know the rivalry and all, you fight but I can tell deep down that you love each other.

Blair- Hmmph!

Mrs. Garrett- So are you saying there is nothing you like about Jo, nothing you admire at all?

Blair- I dont know.

Mrs. Garrett- I bet you can think of something.

Blair- Well she is very handy.

Mrs. Garrett- Thats a start, but I bet theres more.

Blair- Well she is a good listener. But I dont see the point in all of this she stole that job from me.

Mrs. Garett- Now Blair you know she didnt. It just so happened that she was at the right place at the right time. Jo didnt steal that job it was offered to her, Can you obviously say if the roles were reversed you wouldnt have done the same thing?

Blair(smiling admitting what she would have done) Yea I guess so.

Mrs. Garrett- You see, And anohter thing I know for a fact that Jo thinks highly of you.

Blair- How?

I heard her talking on the phone the other day telling someone that they should fix this guy up with you because you were so pretty that you would be his type.

Blair(fluffing her hair) Jo said that?

Mrs. Garrett- Yes she did, Why cant you two lay aside your differences and be closer to one another.

Blair- I dont know Mrs. Garrett, I guess I do truly care about Jo.

About that time there is a knock on the door and Jo callsout.

Jo cracks the door open

Jo- Can I come in?

Blair- I guess so.

Jo- are you still mad at me?

Blair- No, Im not, I want you to be in that commercial Jo, you deserve it Mr. Tubberfill wanted you.

Jo- Hey listen about that, I dont even want that job. I just took it to get under your skin. I dont need that money. Besides its not worth having you mad at me forever.

Blair(elated) Oh Jo! Im so sorry for the way Ive been!

Jo- Yea, me too.

Blair(fluffing her hair) Did you really tell one of your friends that I was pretty?

JO- Mrs. G you told her didnt you?

Mrs. Garrett- Yes, Jo I did to prove a point that you girls dont hate each other the way that you try to act like you do.

Jo(adressing Blair) Well I guess your not so bad.

Blair and Jo embrace in a hug

Blair- Youre not so bad either!

Mrs. Garrett joins in the hug and the scene fades to black.

Well thats it I hope that you all enjoyed it. Maybe it wasnt to bad for my first FOL fan-fic. I would love to hear any comments or constructive criticism. I wasnt just a huge fanatic of the show when it was on but i love to watch the reruns so I wonder if I have a pretty good grasp of the charachters. Im looking forward to hearing your comments.

Im thinking about possibly doing another FOL fan-fic , so if anyone has any ideas Id love to hear em, on what I should write about.
