Does anyone know if the log cabin actually exists and if so where? or was it just a Hollywood set?

Hi Lynda, what you asked used to get asked all the time at the Coach tapings at Universal. The answer always given was that the exterior shots of the cabin are real shots of a real cabin located somewhere in the Midwest. I forget where. Obviously the indoor shots are just a set. They were created completely from imagination and not a re-creation of any particular log cabin interior.

I've always wondered that as well.. I figured the interior was a set, but when I retire I'm planning to live in something similar on a lake near Duluth!

Also, check this out.. I'll keep an eye out to see if I find an episode with this in it!!

I wonder who has the caricature of Hayden that hangs near his desk at home and is in the opening credits. My guess is that it's hanging in Craig T. Nelson's home.

I LOVE Hayden's cabin!! It is just so cozy and homey, with the wood paneling and the fireplace. I'd love to live in a place like that someday. :D

actually the exterior of the cabin is not real its a miniature cabin and the greenery and trees you see on the scenes in coach is all added in via greenscreeing. The actual cabin is on display on the backlot tour in Universal Studios, California

That just seems so cozy - living it that tiny, cozy cabin in Minnesota on several acres of woods with a lake. SIGH...:D
