Over the last couple of years we've been wondering about the fact that Mr. Dick Van Dyke has never been nominated for a Kennedy Center Honor Award... :o
Don't you think that nomination's a bit overdue too? :confused:

How rude must you have thought me. It's just that I've been so busy with The Barry Bunch and the KCH campaign and then there's a little something we call work :happyface ... So, I didn't have the chance to check back here!
And Silly dilly me of course also forget to subscribe the thread!! :eek: Dopey huh?
But let me try to make it up to you. Our petition is going pretty okay (http://www.petitiononline.com/DVDKCH03/petition.html could do better if you bring all DVD fans over of course) and plan B is working fine -- if not GREAT !) :D We got some nice answers from the former Honorees supporting our idea ... So it's crossing our fingers now!!!

Griddy, I signed your petition. I agree that Dick Van Dyke should be a Kennedy Center Honors honoree. I live in the Washington, DC area and would definitely buy a ticket to that event. Carl Reiner was honored a couple of years ago, but I found out about too late to get a ticket. Thanks for you effort! Lolac :wave:

We're not getting a lot of answers back from the former honorees. But the ones who DO answer are vey enthused and promised they'd keep an eye out for the letter they receive from the Kennedy Center annually... Keeps those fingers crossed, guys!
And yes we sent one to Mr. Carl Reiner too... ;)
