I was wondering why the Television Hall Of Fame hasn't inducted All In The Family into the Hall Of Fame??? I looked through all of the inductees for the 16 years of the Hall Of Fame's existence and it is not shown among the series honored!! In fact the only series that is so honored is "I Love Lucy"!!! I know that Carroll O'Connor, Jean Stapleton, Bud Yorkin, and Norman Lear(one of the charter members of the Hall of Fame) are all in there and rightly deserving of it,but when are we going to see the whole show in the Hall Of Fame???

I'm surprised about that info. I thought the whole show would be in the HOF too. Lucy Ricardo and Archie Bunker are prob. the two most memorable characters of all time. AITF should be included too.

I agree. Also, Lucy was a great show, but definetely not THE greatest-AITF and a few others should also be in the Hall of Fame. I don't even think Lucy was the greatest sitcom of the 50's-the Honeymooners was(just it didn't have enough episodes in a half-hour format). When I look at Lucy today you can't argue that Lucille Ball was the greatest TV comedienne ever but as far as the show, most of the plots were outlandish and on the level of Three's Company (which I also like, but as an escapist show).
(Please don't move this thread to the Lucy board, my point is that AITF belongs in the Hall of Fame also, I don't want to have to respond to complaints from Lucyfan)

This show was groundbreaking for its time.(It still is.) If any show should be in the HOF it's All in the Family. Not too many shows have been able to tackle the issues All in the Family have and still be funny.
