SHORTEN THE SIG!

Okay really, all you people complaining...it's getting old. Yes, his siggy is long. Yes, I'm sure he's aware of it. If it's that much of a problem for you, ignore him or do the thing where you can't see siggys. Lord.

It is getting very old, and it's really not that big of a deal. I'm getting a feeling some of you are just doing it as an excuse to complain about him...no offense to anyone.

I haven't badgered Rainman. I told him just once to quit it after he layed down the gambit that he wouldn't quit it no matter what. And realise that he puts the giant pictures in his posts not just his siggy. You can't turn off a persons post unless you want to use the ignore button. My beef isn't just with his obnoxious pictures though, it's that he doesn't have a grain of common courtesy for anyone of us on the board. If you were asked to please shorten your siggy or shrink your pictures, you, like most all of us, would do it out of respect for others. Wouldn't you. :)

I wasn't bitching at him just to be bitching at him. I have the slow dial up connection and the big pictures just slows the whole computer up and makes the posts jump around. I realize that I could disable the sig thing, but I happen to like looking at the normal sized pics in everybody elses sigs.

I'm sure we have other people out there that have the same sort of problem I do with the slow connection. I'd love to get a cable connection, but I have the dial up now and that is at least a connection to get online.

This whole big mess wouldn't have lasted as long as it did if Nate realized that some people do have the slow computers. I distinctly remember Mossopp saying awhile back that sometimes she doesn't even bother reading some threads because it takes forever for the page to download because of all the sigs. She wasn't present during the Nate's sig mess, but apparently she has a slow connection too. Like Kitt said above, show respect for other people and their computers. Some people do have the slow connections.

well I wasnt neccisarily complaining about You two (Jenny and Kittflynn) I'm talking about the people who just HAVE TO WRITE SHORTEN YOUR SIG IN EVER POST I MEAN COME ON PEOPLE!! OBVIOUSLY he wasnt listening to THEM and dont get me wrong the guy BUGS ME TO but PLEASE cant you atleast TAKE IT TO A PM instead of waisting threads :rolleyes: thats JMO though

I'm not complaining for my own good, I just don't like to see someone take advantage of us all for their own stubborn selfish reasons. When I voice my thoughts about that I'm not doing for Rainmans benefit and I'm not going to waste my typeing fingers writing to someone who has proven themselves to be too bull-headed to listen and be considerate enough to resolve the problem.

A PM wouldn't work, imo. This had to be done out in the open. Some people wouldn't take the time to pm him and just have the pm deleted or ignored. At least with posting 'Shorten your sig!' he had to pay attention to it. He had to at least read it. If everybody that was complaining pm'd him, me included- I seriously doubt that he would've sized the pic down. We all did it out in the open and he did shrink it down.

A waste of a post that you contributed too. Congrats. and a pm sure as hell didn't work, he said he got several of them. The constant complaning after everyone asked him 1000 times(nicely at first) finally worked.

The reason why I said it in a lot of posts was because unfortunately I can't afford a fancy brand new computer with a cable modem like most people here. My computer took forever to load the pics and sometimes I just had to give up and close the thread, never reading it, cause it took way too long.

Like I said I can totally see where you guys are coming from because MY COMPUTER IS A WORTHLESS PIECE OF WELL YOU KNOW!! lets just say its a compaq presario and LIVE IT at that well that and that fact that its sooo INCREDIBLY SLOW my old computer was older then this one ANYWHO :) it obviously worked he changed His siggy so No worries lets all just forget about it and move on
