I got this idea playing in my head and well, I want to let you in on it. :lol:
As you all know, January 29th is coming up and we all know about that date. Here's my idea. We should have a string of post as a tribute for that day. I know you're thinking well Duh! But there's more. :lol: On these posts, we should have either poems, stories, memories or pictures. Each participant will get a little prize from me! :D Then we can vote on the best poem and best picture and those will get an extra prize! ;) Anyone interested?

Mariposa...those beautiful song lyrics say it all. I think you have captured all of our feelings when you posted it. Thank you so much for sharing such a profound expression of love.

I will always love Freddie and remember his expressive face, his
beautiful eyes, his gentle voice and caring ways and how he could fill out a pair of jeans like no other man. When he looked at Jack during those wonderful shows...you could see just how much he loved and admired him. Freddie was loving and thoughtful...never really wanting to hurt anyone. His legacy will live on forever as long as his fans never forget his spirit and continue to introduce the rest of the world to his enormous talent. Dear sweet Prinze...Laughter Man...you are sadly missed.

Here is my humble contribution to the tribute. This is dedicated to all of his fans, who still love him with a deep and enduring love.

Freddie has always been an interesting subject to work with. His hair, his eyes, his smile, his dimples, his long tummy struttin' torso, those long dancable legs!!!
His laughter was such a joy to experience along with the mystery that showed in those dark sparkling eyes of his!!! I could go on and on and on... Well you all get the picture here.

Dear Freddie,
This is not a poem or a song, but a letter of love from my heart...to yours.
I never got to know you yet somehow feel like I do. Your talent brought love and Joy to so many, I only wish you could have known more of that in your short life.
So much has changed since you left us, the music, technologt, even the medium through which you entertained us.
Your son, 'Pie' your pride and joy, a baby when you saw him last, a young man now and a superstar in his own right.
The technology I mentioned earlier has brought so many of your fans together to remember,honor and think about you in their own creative ways.
There are stories, poems, songs and pictures(and I do mean pictures!) that remind us of you and all you brought to our lives.
The jokes may be different but the laughter remainsand reminds us of you.
As I read your Mom's book and discover how you lived,loved and struggled it is my hope that you found the peace you sought here on earth and could not find.
There are some who are in touch with those you loved and though they still miss you,know that you were and are loved.
As the anniversery of your passing draws near you will be remembered with laughter and yes, some tears but our love for you will go on...we love you dear Prinze.

What a sweet pic of Chico & Ed. It really shows how much love they had for each other & how Chico cared for Ed. (Tears... :crying:) You got me reaching for a hankie now... THis is so sweet... :heart:

Awesome tribute Joy. You can just see the love between the two dear friends. We loved Chico and The Man. Freddie deserves all this attention for all the joy he has given us over the years.

We've got 4 days left everyone, so please take time out of your busy schedules to remember one of the smoothest comedians ever! ;)

I know I submitted a picture with a sentiment already, but I thought of this poem and wanted to share it too.
I can't think of a title for it, maybe you all have some ideas.

Some lives burn with a steady glow, giving warmth to those they touch here below.
But some lives shine so very bright, like a supernova,
They gleam white hot for a short while and then seem to be gone.
Our world needs those who burn with that steady glow,
But we cannot forget the supernovae that touch us and show us a brigher way.
Thank you Freddie, for the light that you gave us.
It was only here a short while, but the impact it had on us will last us forever.

To let everyone know . I have enjoyed the personal tributes each one has most graciously shared. There love for such a talented, heart warming young man is felt in this special tribute thread for Freddie. I had another picture that I was almost going to post prior to the one I posted. Seeing such beautiful tributes here I will hold back and enjoy the wonderous talents of others here showing there tributes to our Latin Prinze!

I noticed it looked like he was holding a hankie in his hand & it made me wonder if he'd been crying earlier? Then again his allergies could've been acting up. We miss you even tho we never knew you... It was a sad pic I was doing up & I went thru a coupla hankies myself as I was doing it. So sad what happened to the dear sweet boy... :crying:

These heartfelt tributes are all so awesome that I'm sure Freddie himself would be reduced to tears. All of you have poured such feeling and so much love into these and I hope that in some small way they have helped you. Choosing a winner will be a very hard decision, so please be considerate when we vote. The way I see it, we will have one prize for Best picture tribute and one for Best word tribute. I noticed in the pic he's holding his hankerchief in his hand. He looks so sweet & cute & adorable in the pic. It make ya want to play with him. I could just see me playfully taking his hankie from his hand & trying to make him catch it from me & then he'd turn around with his sweet smile & try to get it back from me. & He'd chase me some & then he'd get it back from me & we'd wind up in a kiss, laughing the whole time... :)

I took Danis cleaned up version of the E-BAY pic & fixed it so that the EBAY writing isn't on it anymore. It was so bad over the guy sitting next to Freddie that I couldn't repair that guy so I had to take him out of the picture covering him up with background.

So here it is. Sorry if I didn't do so hot a job but I tried...

I've never been able to write any fan fictions cuz writing them takes too long & too much trouble to write. Wish I could write some like the fan fiction writers here have as I've come up with some neat ideas for fan fics.
Well I came up with this short story after seeing the pic I put on here with the EBAY writing on it. It's about what could've happened between Freddie & a special girlfriend when that picture was taken. I noticed on EBAY it said the
picture was taken at some kind of celebrity event.

So here is the mini-short-story...


"PRINZE CHARMING"

I felt like the luckiest girl in the whole world having Freddie Prinze for my boyfriend. I didn't like him just because he was a famous actor but because he was a really sweet guy. Freddie had invited me to go with him to a celebrity event. He came and picked me up in his blue Corvette & Boy did he drive fast! I was scared but too scared to say anything. After all he was Chico or rather Freddie my new handsome boyfriend. He looked so handsome in
his bellbottom jeans & red zip front polo shirt. He had his hair fixed so nice--not too short--not too long. Just right for me.

We sat down on these bleacher seats because the event was outdoors. It was so exciting to see celebrities all around, real stars & Freddie would point them out to me. He even said hi to some new friends who were famous!

We sat around for awhile waiting to see if Freddie would win any awards. Finally they called Freddie up to get an award for best new actor. I was so excited for him. He was jumping up & down with excitement. He went forward & up to the podium to accept his award. He was so humble. As he thanked everyone for the award, he got all choked up & practically cried. Being the
sensitive guy he is, he reached in the pocket of his jeans & got out his hankerchief & discreetly dabbed at his eyes with it wiping his little tears. When he was done accepting the award, he came back to our seat & sat next to me.

I congratulated him on it & gave him a congratulatory kiss. I
noticed he was still holding his hankerchief folded up in his hand. He sniffled a coupla of times & then discreetly wiped the end of his nose with it. He grinned with a cute grin smiling at me & joked that he was keeping HAVE A HANK in business. We both laughed.

A photographer was going around photographing all the stars for some movie star magazine. He came up to Freddie & introduced himself to Freddie. Freddie was so polite & thanked him for asking first before taking the pic. He said he liked being able to prepare first & pose on his "best side". I told Freddie I would move out of the way so the photographer could take the picture. The photographer said that'd be great. I stood to the side &
watched enjoying every minute of it & wishing I could have a copy of the pictures. I knew I was gonna buy me a copy of that magazine. I just had to. The photographer posed Freddie just so in the pictures. I noticed Freddie was still clutching his hankie in his hand & the photographer didn't mind. It was as if it created a focal point of interest in the picture. Freddie smiled so sweet as he posed for the pictures. After awhile the photographer
was done. I told him I couldn't wait to get the magazine with the pictures in it. He said he'd send Freddie some copies of the pictures. I looked at Freddie with that wanting look & Freddie could tell I wanted copies of them. You want copies of them don't you, he asked me. I sure do I said! You got it, he said saying his trademark phrase & laugh. We both laughed ourselves silly.

I looked at Freddie & noticed he still was clutching his hankie in his hand. He had such a mischievous look on his face that I couldn't resist. I grabbed the hankie out of his hand & teasingly ran to the next bleacher seat that was behind where we were sitting. Freddie looked confused as if he didn't know what was happening & jokingly yelled to me-- Hey gimme that! That's my snot rag mami! No way mister I said laughing at him. He ran after me trying to get it & I ran further up the bleachers with it. C'mon, I think I'm gonna sneeze in a minute he said. Yeah right, I jokingly replied. Come & get me I added teasingly. He took off up the bleachers chasing me down for it as people watched with surprise & amusement. He finally caught up to me & grabbed me
pinning me down in a somewhat compromising position on the bleacher seat. Gimme that he said yanking it out of my hand as I jokingly protested. We both laughed.

He looked at me longingly into my eyes & I knew what might be
coming up next. Oh no you don't I said. You're not getting a kiss from me after chasing me down like that mister, I jokingly protested. He leaned over & planted a big one on me. The most wonderful kiss I had ever had. I felt as if there was no one else around but us. He tasted like lemonade, the kind you get in the park. It felt so good to be loved like that by a special &
cute boyfriend. We kissed for several minutes until we both rolled off the bleacher seat onto the floor underneath, the part where you would put your feet. We both laughed & giggled as we continued to kiss. An old lady sitting nearby was looking at us in disgust over our romantic escapade. Let's ditch this scene Freddie said. Okay I agreed. After all he had already gotten his award.

We walked over to a nearby park. It was so pretty & we were there all alone. He kissed me again & then--- He told me he loved me. I felt like the luckiest girl in the world. There was only Freddie & I... I wish He hadn't later broke up with me & then married Kathy. It really broke my heart. & I know it broke his. Because he cried when he told me goodbye that last time &
his tears were for real. Even today as I look at that picture I am reminded
of that special day & how much Freddie loved me. He was a very special Prinze charming & I just wish he were here so I could tell him so...

I know this is really rotten but I tried anyway LOL!

That was a great story, Miss Cheryl. You can write!!! Please think of more stories to share with us. I enjoyed that one very much. I, too, think Freddie would have tasted of lemonade when he kissed! :kiss:

Thanks! It was a dumb story but it was inspired by the EBAY picture. I've come up with some ideas for fan fictions but the problem is it's too hard for me to type them up. Stuff comes up in my mind to make up but trying to write it down is difficult. Kudos to you fan fic writers! I know it's alot of hard work to write all that stuff down. The results you guys have put out are great! :) I wish I had a secretary so I could record the stories on tape & then let the secretary type them up LOL! Can't wait to read more fan fictions, esp the Enrico story & the Barrio & the one Luckymama wrote about Freddie gettting his life back together & remarrying that school teacher! :)

Thanks for the support! I have the ideas in my head & can think them up in my head. I've made some up in my head that I would love to write down. But to write them down would take forever & it's hard writing them down. Too bad there isn't a machine that could read your mind & then type up what you are thinking for you. I could really do some fan fictions then. So my problem isn't making up the stories, it's trying to type them up... :)

I had found where someone was selling a transparency of Freddie on EBAY & someone on the boards had the top bid on it. So I saved a copy of it to my puter. He is so cute in it...
