Did any of you people like Nikki Carpenter on MacGyver?
She was going to be a full time cast member but some MacGyver female fans didn't like it and she was gone.

Last nite I watched the episode "GX - 1". Looking and Nikki's character I would say her and MacGyver enjoyed pissing each other off, but then there were times were they just didn't understand each other at all. I have to dig up the episode "Fire and Ice" I havn't see that recently, the last time I saw it would have been more that 10 years ago. "Fire and Ice" was the first episode that Nikki appeared in, her brother Danny was a friend of MacGyver's and is killed, Nikki is on the hunt for the killer and so is MacGyver and I think their paths cross and they work together but spend most of the time fighting.
"Blow Out" was a good episode Nikki is targeted and MacGyver thinks it could be someone from her past, he goes digging into her past and finds out about Nikki's past that she had tried so hard to hide. MacGyver confronts her and tell she should stop lying.
Hey have you seen the episode "The Widowmaker" that was action packed, Nikki is introduce to Murdoc and she says and I quote "This Guy Is A Nut Case"
Here is a pic from the episode........

I remember this now, Nikki was a Lawyer and she took something along that line when she joined the Pheonix Foundation.
I wouldn't say Nikki and MacGyver didn't get along well. In the early episodes yes, but in the laters ones Nikki and MacGyver become close. Even MacGyver tells the girl he was dating in one episode that he really cares about her. In "Blow Out" you see a different side of the two. In "The Widowmaker" Mac is up in the mountains and won't come home, Nikki goes up there to confort him but it didn't help when Murdoc turned up -
Gosh I so what to see that episode now :D

Opps I forgot to add this.
Now that I think about it the chick who played Mike in the episode "The Widowmaker" looked nothing like Patricia McPherson, I like her from her days as Bonnie Barstow on Knight Rider.
Twice Stung I liked that episode. I like how MacGyver and Pete played those roles to bet that man at his own game. I thought Pete pulled his role well as the corrupt cop.

I think Nikki was the best character in the show. Gosh, I wish they would have kept her! I have the Season 3 and I have watched Fire and Ice, GX-1, The Widowmaker and Blow out dozens of times.
Early Retirement and The Negotiator are okay even if I don't like Webber or Deborah too much.
I would have been pleased to see Mac and Nikki as a couple in the series. :)

Nikki was a great character, definitely! One of many possible love interests for MacGyver on the show. However, though the series tried to give MacGyver a steady girlfriend at times, the female fan base complained so much that it was generally quickly dropped. (Case in point- Maria Romburg.)
And that's too bad because Mac and Nikki do make a great couple. Oh well- I like the way the show worked out for the most part anyway.:)
