I finally decided that this is right time to announce a website on this board. The website is The World of Soap Themes (http://users3.ev1.net/~TVSoapThemes/). It features a HUGE variety of soap opera theme songs and opening sequences for a download in RealPlayer. One of the current main attractions for the site is the video collage "Generations of Soap Opens #1." It features the opens of many different soaps, that you've known for years, and some that are forgotten. Below is a list of all the soaps featured in the collage: (call it a spoiler if you want to lol)

"Emergency Hospital" (Based on the 1956 movie??)
"The Brighter Day" (1954-1962)
"Dark Shadows" (1966-1971)
"The Clear Horizon" (1960-1962)
"The Young Marrieds" (1964-1966)
"General Hospital" (1963-present, 1963-1974? opening is used)
"The Egg and I" (1951-1952)
"Never Too Young" (1965-1966)
"The First Hundred Years" (1950-1952?)
"The Guiding Light" (1952-present, 1952-1955? and late 80s openings are used)
"As the World Turns" (1956-present, 1956-1967, 1967-1981, 1981-1993, and 1993-2000 openings are used)
"One Life to Live" (1968-present, 1970-1981 opening is used)
"All My Children" (1970-present, 1971-1990 opening is used)
"The Edge of Night" (1956-1984, 1976-1979? opening is used)
"Capitol" (1982-1987, 1982-1983 opening is used)
"Santa Barbara" (1984-1993)
"Search for Tommorrow" (1951-1986, 1976?-1985 opening is used)
"General Hospital" (1963-present, 1993-present opening is used)
"Generations" (1989-1990?)

There are probably more, but that's all I can think of from memory (I just watched it an hour ago). This site is really great, though. It usually has classic episodes of soaps up for download too, but it's one episode at a time. I know they've have "As the World Turns" from 1962, "The Edge of Night" from 1983, "Guiding Light" from 1979, and now they have "One Life to Live" from 1987. Someone is sending in an "All My Children" episode from 1978, and I can't wait to see it! But like I said, it's a REALLY great site. If you want to watch the "Guiding Light" opening from the 1952, go to this site. If you want to see the "All My Children" opening from 1970, go to this site. Even if you want to see the opening sequence for extremely bad TBS soap "The Catlins," go here. I recommend this site for all soap opera fans.
