One thing has me a bit curious. Fonzie always made it clear that he wanted nothing to do with his parents who abandoned him and he wouldn't even talk about them. But when Ashley told him that she didn't want to talk to her parents who turned their backs on her, Fonzie pushed her into making up with them. Since he was abandoned himself, why didn't he respect her wish to stay away from them?

Remember the Christmas episode? Where his father gave him that gift? He did a complete 180* and knew that he wasnt the reason why he left him. I think thats why.

My guess would be that he was trying to make her see that at least she was lucky enough that her parent's were around so she could make up with them, unlike him, who was completely abandoned.
