I'm searching for episodes of I Love Lucy with their original openings and/or commercials intact.

I have about 10 such episodes of I Love Lucy and four of Andy Griffith that I have transferred to DVD. I'll be happy to trade any of these for others. I also have the B&W and Colorized versions of the I Love Lucy Christmas Special and the 1958 Desilu Revue Christmas Special all on one DVD.

I'm willing to buy uncut episodes on VHS or DVD, and I'll trade anything TV or non TV related that I have in my collection for any of these.

How can you have original broadcasts of I Love Lucy when VCRs weren't invented until the late 70s/early 80s?

It's very simple. They had something called 16mm FILM back then, and every TV Station in the country that aired I Love Lucy recieved a 16mm print to use as a "backup" incase they were disconnected from their network cable, the show could still go on. Over time those have trickled into the hands of collectors and others who have transferred them to VHS tape.

I just got some VHS's of such, on ebay. How did you convert them to DVD?
