In his mothers book she said Karl had a daughter by a previous marraige. The little girl drowned in a swimming pool while Karl was painting & he didn't see she had fallen in the poll until too late. He blamed himself for it & was therfore afraid to get too close to Freddie because of it. It also caused him to have the drinking problem. He also had a son by his previous marraige who was a half brother to Freddie. When Kathy started the divorce proceedings, Freddie went to his half brother to talk to him. He was so heartbroken & upset over the divorce & that he broke down & cried when he talked to his half brother. I don't remember the half brother & sisters name tho.

Okay - Here goes........ Freddie had 2 half sisters, Alice (The one who drowned at 5 years of age) and Rita. He had 1 half brother named Eddie.
