Some of you may already be aware of this because I don't know how recent this update is. Remember the story in one of the earlier episodes where this man scaled this fence at an airport in Paducah, KY and then grabbed on to an airplane as it was taking off. He held on until it got about 300 ft. then fell off plummeting to his death? They could never find out his true identity. Well after years of searching, they finally have. Here is the link:

I remember that case very well. An old rerun of the case on Lifetime actually ended with an update, though it has only consisted of words on the screen (especially since production of the show had been on a lengthy hiatus by the late 1990s, when the man's body was positively identified as Brian Stanley Duecker).

It was sad enough that a young man died the way he did. But the worst thing about his death was that he died anonymously. It had to have been torture for his loved ones to endure years of not knowing what had become of him. Of course, authorities wittingly had the body safely stored. They just initially had no way of knowing his identity. :(

While it was sad to have to learn that their loved one was in fact deceased, the very least is that Brian Duecker's family had finally learned what had happened to him. In other words, they are no longer going through the torture of the "not knowing."
