I think that my favorite episode of Little House on the Prairie was the episode where Mary and Laura try and get a Bible for Reverend Alden!!! Laura wanted to get the good Bible while Mary wanted the Bible for the money that was in the Sunday School account, and Laura talks Mary into getting those patent medicines with the Sunday School money and doubling their investment by getting the better Bible!!! Laura tried everything, she tried disguising herself as a poor person, she sold one to the lady who wanted a buzz out of it,and the one where she goes to the farm and she spills some of the pills into the pig trough and the lady told her, the pigs are eating them let them pay for it!! That Sunday, the girls played sick and Charles comes up and the girls tell him everything and when they go to church and tell all,the reverend comes to their rescue by getting the box where the patent medicines came from and using it for his old Bible and he told how he had received old Bibles, new Bibles, but this box was the best for his old Bible!!! My all-time favorite episode!!!!

That is a very good episode. Is that the one in which the girls tell Pa they have laryngitis, only they have no idea what illness that actually is and mispronounce it (la-rang-i-tis)? That was cute.

It is a great episode. You just forgot one tiny yet important part of this episode was the motive to wanting to get a better Bible. Nellie and her mom promised to get the best gift ever and Mary wanted to get something just as nice. They fell for the Olson's materialistic ways yet in the end the Reverend praised the wooden case that came with the medicine as the most useful and thoughtful gift.
See, you dont have to spend a lot of money to find the perfect gift.
