I used to love these r&b singers in the early 80's. Vanity was so hot back in the day. I remember she was in the group Vanity 6 with a white girl & a black girl, they had the hit Nasty Girl that was played in the first Beverly Hills Cop movie when Eddie, Rosewood & Taggert were in that strip bar. Vanity went on to play in the movies after a short music career, Action Jackson, The Last Dragon, Never Too Young To Die with John Stamos of Full House tv show & Gene Simmons of the heavy metal group Kiss, she also played in 52 Pick Up with Roy Scheider & Anne Margaret. Sheila E is a very talented musician who plays the drums & guitar as well. She was in the rap movie Krush Groove in 85 with rappers Run DMC, Fat Boys, Kurtis Blow, black actor Blair Underwood. I saw Sheila E on American Bandstand's 50th anniversary a few weeks ago & she still is fine as ever. Appolonia was also in a group called Appolonia 6 with the same girls that was in Vanity 6. They had the hit Sex Shooter & performed it in Prince's Purple Rain movie. Appolonia was Prince's girl in Purple Rain. She was a cutie back then & she still is. I saw her recently on VH1's I Love The 80's. She still looks good. I had a crush on all these women back in the day. Vanity is now a born again christian & she doesn't listen to any of her old songs.

I thought Appolonia was the prettiest of the 3. She looked spanish to me. I wonder where she was from?

Yeah Appolonia does look mixed, she looks half black & half puerto rican. I think Vanity is the cutest out of all the 3 but i like Vanity & Sheila E the most.

Appolonia is 43 now, Vanity is 44 & her real name is Denise Matthews, Sheila E is 45 now.
