Anybody watching the news now? They said that 21 people died when the plane crashed into a hangar. It was heading towards South Carolina. They said it might be terrorist related, but they're not sure.

Kay Scarpetta 01-08-2003, 03:55 PM Yeah I just read the article on CNN.com. Sad. :( JoJoJoJoJoJoJoJoJo 01-08-2003, 04:08 PM Yep. they were heading toward Greenville, South Carolina.. tha'ts where I live. It's all over hte local radios and stuff, there giving out phone numbers that people can call if they think there family was on it. It's really sad, I don't remember anything like that happening in this town. If it is terrosit related, tha'ts just freaky, cause if they'll target Greenville, SC airplanes, then god knows what they'll do Plata 01-08-2003, 05:56 PM That's so sad. I hope it wasn't terrorist related. I thought that the airports had tighter security now. Kristina 01-08-2003, 07:07 PM AHHH! I was never scared of planes before or after 9/11. I've always loved them and I still do. I still think it's the best way to travel. No threats of terrorists are going to ruin my good time. I know it might sound like a dumbass statement, but I don't want to go walking around the rest of my days scared of planes because terrorists are 'out' there. Georgia's on my Mind 01-09-2003, 12:31 AM That's so sad :( I personally don't like flying because I have motion sickness and I just can't get comfortable in that chair for however many hours... I haven't heard much about this plane crash. I'd usually hear about it since my father is the type to leave the tv on CNN all day. He didn't have it on CNN today. It gets on my nerves so much at times. I always leave the room when he has it on CNN all day. He clocked in some major hours during the Sept. 11th attacks. I can understand about how you want to be updated about the attacks, but it really depressed me the whole time he kept it on CNN. I didn't have any relatives or friends die in the attacks, but it was so depressing. I can't even imagine how it felt for those that actually knew someone that died in the attacks and just couldn't get away from the reports. If I had a friend that died during that time, I'm the type of person that blocks things out. If I'm sad, I try to block everything else out. I'm sure others do the same thing I do with the block outs and the way they covered the attacks, you couldn't really block it out completely. Everytime a news channel would show one of the towers collapsing, I'm sure somebody would think and be saddened by the fact that a close friend or relative died during that time and this will be the one thing I remember about him/her. A person could always remember the happy times spent with the friend/relative, but then I'm sure you have the attacks tied in with the memories. The attacks surely wasn't a happy event, but you just can't write off seeing that. It'd be even more horrifying if you actually witnessed the buildings collapsing first hand, but seeing the buildings collapse on a tv screen is just as bad. jmo JDS84 01-09-2003, 02:39 PM That is so sad. :( |
