View Full Version : Fonzie's Blindness
FonzesLeatherJacket 01-07-2003, 04:02 PM 1. In this ep. Henry Winkler aka Fonzie, really looked like he was blind. As if they put a glaze in his eyes or something. I wonder how they made him really look blind? Or maybe he was just good at acting like it. I see this on other shows too when a person is acting like their blind, they always seem to be facing at one thing and their eyes look glazed. Maybe its the camera too.
2. What did you all think of this ep? I thought it was sad because The Fonz could'nt see, and when Al whacked him with that tray I did'nt think he did it hard enough, to blind him. I thought it was amazing how, Fonz put his motorcycle back together! Then he got his site back! :woo hoo:
3. When Richie and The Cunninghams were at the dinner table, Richie was upset with Fonzie because he wanted him to be independant. The Cunninghams were wanting to do things for him and let him be independant, when he was ready. Who do you think was more right Richie or The Cunninghams?
4. Speaking of Henry Winkler and eyes, one time someone told me that Henry saw letters backwards. Like for ex. take these two dds. The dds would turn around and look like bbs. I just said I heard it, did'nt say it was true. But, Henry did a wonderful job of portraying The Fonz, Ron did wonderful portraying my Richie, and all of the actors were pretty wonderful. :D
Barnabas1 01-07-2003, 04:08 PM I saw that, it was depressing!
¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 01-07-2003, 04:09 PM Its a good episode, but it kinda bugs me. I mean.. he yelled @ Richie and said he hated his guts! Yah, he was caught in the moment, but ugh, NOT necessary!! But I agree, he did a very good job @ being blind. Oh yes, Al hardly whacked him with that tray! When I saw the episode for the first time, I laughed when he got whacked lol.
Oh, and Henry had dyslexia.. thats what cause him to read thngs backwards.
FonzesLeatherJacket 01-07-2003, 04:24 PM I know it was very depressing! I did'nt like that either where Fonz yelled at Richie, and said he hated him. Also Richie was only trying to help him be independant. But, then Fonz got his sight back and was once again Richie's best bud. So, he probably did'nt mean it when he said he hated him, he was just frustrated because he was blind. But, I'm glad he got his sight back. Yeah Henry did a wonderful job of being blind, and that was funny when Al whacked him and it was strange, how it knocked out his vision! Dyslexia is where you can't talk very good right? Do you or anyone know if, Henry still reads backwards?

FonzesLeatherJacket 01-07-2003, 04:28 PM Ooops! I meant to say it was stange how a little tray whack, knocked out Fonzie's, vision not Henry's. I think sometimes Fonzie had tough times, but was still able to be cool. We all have tough times sometimes. :)

No. Dyslexia is where you read things backwards. I believe it can run in the family. A lot of actors have it or had it I believe. Everything else is fine with you.. you just have more of a difficulty reading.
FonzesLeatherJacket 01-07-2003, 04:42 PM Oh ok, thanks for telling me! :) Hope Henry is over it. I read the post down below where someone said, Henry did'nt have very good parents. Kinda like The Fonz did'nt have very good parents.

I don't think Henry ever had a problem with his parents. In fact, I think they were a pretty close family. But, his family wanted him to concentrate on school and come back and work with their business. Henry didn't want to do that. He got his BA degree in child psychology and then got his MA degree in acting. Henry just wanted to be an actor. This conflict caused tension in the family, I guess since I really don't think Henry's parents were keen on the whole "risk everything for a shot in Hollywood" mentality. They wanted Henry to have a reliable career to fall back on. This hits really close to home for me, since I'm going through the same thing to a degree with my own parents. They want me to have that "settled in, predictable" lifestyle and I'm not sure if that's what I want. I still love my parents and they love me, it's just that we see things differently.
