I need to put one of my cats on a diet, I think. I hate to say that he's over weight, but I swear I throw my back out everytime I try to pick him up. Yeah, that's bad. Pooh loves his gravy and I'd hate to take it away from him completely. I don't want him to get sick, though. You know how parents are all the time bragging about their kids, I don't imagine myself as ever doing that. I don't have kids now or anything, but even if I had kids- I bet I'd be bragging more on the cats than the kids. lol Oh my God, it just hit me that we have cats named from the same show. Pooh and Tigger from Winnie the Pooh. lol, that's cool. Yeah, it took me about 5 minutes to figure that out. I'm slow. lol Christopher 01-07-2003, 02:48 AM Originally posted by Jenny Aw, Tigger that's a nice name. I need to put one of my cats on a diet, I think. I feel bad but I keep telling her shes on a diet. That happen to me once. I went to pick Tigger up and my back hurt as hell! I couldn't stand it, I was hoping it was just me and not Tigger but the vet confirmed Tiggie needs a diet :( I hate seeing her suffer but I noticed that when we feed her treats she doesn't eat all of it. I hope she loses weight I noticed a little changed in her. Shes more active now a days. If you put your cat on a diet try Iams Weight Control, its in a green bag, that seems to be working pretty good. If you put your cat on a diet try Iams Weight Control, its in a green bag, that seems to be working pretty good. I can't feed stray cats anymore. Well, I'm not supposed to feed them. That doesn't mean that I don't. I just feel so bad for the neighbors cats. I have this neighbor and they had so many cats and dogs and you really had to wonder if they were being fed. One of the cats was even pregnant and she was as scrawny as could be. I'd sneak out cans and feed the cats on the front porch and the cats would thank me buy leaving 'gifts' in the yard. Dad would step in it and just cause such an uproar over it. He yelled at me and mom to stop feeding the neighbors cats. We still fed the cats from the neighborhood that come up to the front porch every once in awhile. I don't even think they have any cats next door now. I think most of the neigbors cats either ran away or died. :( My cats are the exact same way. They always come running when they hear a can being opened. Okay, I'm about to admit something very weird. My family doesn't even use the kitchen table. We just eat in the living room. However, the cats use the table now. We just take paper plates and put the cat food on the plates and put the plates on the table. All the little pigs will get up there and eat up there. I'm telling you, we spoil them. lol Pooh is just not active at all. Callie, Sandy, Milo, and Bea at least move around the house. Pooh just stays in a few spots. He stays on the table, mostly. I think they sell Iams around here. I might have to look around and see if they sell it in stores. I grew up loving cats so much, they are like children to me. I don't mind feeding stray cats and niether does my family. Every morning I wake up and put 2 bowls of warm milk, 2 bowls of dry cat food, 1 can of juicy cat food on a paper plate and 2 bowls of water for them to drink. They seem to like it they come back every day :) If you get that Iams Cat Food make sure you don't over feed your baby. I know I don't have to tell you this seeing how much you love your kitties but make sure you follow the directions. Let me know if your cat gets better. :) DarleneIllyria 01-07-2003, 03:45 AM Originally posted by Silver Daze Your welcome. I just can't stand to see cats get sick and die. I had 2 cats named Minnie and Robin (lol, yes I named Robin after Robin on Batman. lol) and I got Minnie in Kindergarten and Robin when I was in 1st grade and they died right around the time I started high school. I just miss them so much. Okay, I better stop before I start crying. They lived such long and good lives, but I still miss them. I want to thank you again for providing a good brand of diet cat food. I'll let you know how they're doing. Thanks again!
