View Full Version : ebay shoppers!
Hey Ebay shoppers,
I would love to see(buy)some of the things about Freddie that you are finding on ebay.
Whenever I search they tell me unable to locate. Is there a special freddie or CATM section that i can't find? If there is how do i get there?
catcopy18 07-04-2001, 09:02 PM Hi Joy - hope you're having a great 4th!
What I do when I'm checking out Chico stuff is: click onto E-Bay. Then in the block where it says "what are you looking for?"
type Chico and the Man. Double click on
"find it". Maybe a handful of items will turn up relating to CATM but then on that same page is "search in titles and descriptions". Double click on that and you will find over 50 items relating to CATM and other items with Chico, Jose Feliciano, Scatman Crothers, etc. will be listed. The
rest you will be able to figure out. That's the way I got all my Freddie Prinze stuff so I hope it helps you. Good luck!
chicosladyfair 07-04-2001, 09:48 PM Joy,
Also if you go to the same bar that says "what are you looking for" type in Freddie Prinze. You'll come up with a lot of stuff for Jr. but there will be some stuff in there for Sr. as well. It's all about dig, dig, dig...the farther you dig in your searches for Freddie stuff the more you'll find. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
I hope we don't all end up bidding against each other for these items! It ends up costing more money than it really should for some of these items.
Cheryl Harrell 07-05-2001, 06:33 PM Yeah, folks outbid me on stuff. Like while I was gone I got outbid by 50 cents on a 70's TIGER BEAT magazine with Freddie in it. Fortunately I was able to get the lady who was selling to Xerox the Freddie stuff from it for me. 2 of the pics in it were ones I've gotte off the internet elsewhere but the other 3 were hot & I am sorry I don't have the origionals of them. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/frown.gif Whoever outbid me on it should be feeling really guilty for taking some hot Freddie pics away from me... http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/wink.gif The problem with stuff of Freddie with other stars in it like magazines etc is there are other stars in them & we have to compete with the fans of the other stars for this stuff.. Yikes!

catcopy18 07-05-2001, 10:18 PM If you check under "bid history" on the different items, it tells you who is bidding on that particular item. If I recognize the name as one of our people here, then I do not bid on it. I've backed off on several F.P. Sr. items because I recognized one of the bidders.
Cheryl Harrell 07-06-2001, 01:24 AM Yeah I too look to see whos bidding on a item. Usually it's folks I've never heard of. Instead of outbidding me on stuff, come & join us on the boards. It's more fun! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
Cheryl Harrell 07-28-2001, 04:43 PM The FP STORY BOOK by Freddies mom is her for just 1 cent:
http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1449983657
Please don't search for other stuff on him on the site tho cuz there is something I want on there! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
Cheryl,
How i wish i knew abot these sites and the auction back in april because i don't want to tell you how much i paid for my cpy(although it was worth every penny!)
Cheryl Harrell 07-29-2001, 04:47 AM I remember someone from on here paid $150 for a copy of the book cuz folks kept on bidding up & up & bid it up to that. LOL! I got mine for $12 thru a book search on the internet & love it! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
Cheryl,
I didn't get mine on the auction i got it through the bibliofind for 78.00 but with s&H it came to a little more(I still say it was worth every penny) excuse the auction pun(About the penny)
catcopy18 07-29-2001, 06:12 PM I could NEVER part with my book for any amount of money! I keep it in my family room on the table and pick it up and read it again and again. I love his cute little face smiling up at me on the front too. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/wink.gif
It's one of the few things I didn't mind paying a lot of money for. Another Freddie fan on this message board was kind enough to track my book down for me several months ago. It's good to know there are people on here we can turn to when we need them! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
Catcopy,
I keep my book in my filing cabinet. If my house goes that will be safe(I also keep the negatives to all my pictures)
I've read my book 3 times so farand plan to read it several more times!!!

Luckymama58 07-29-2001, 08:15 PM I was one of the "fools" who paid an arm and a leg for my copy ($125) I say fool, cause that's what everyone around here thinks, but I know mine was worth every penny. I read it once straight through, but I have referred back to it many times when I was writing my stories. My copy has become more of a research tool. I keep it in the original plastic and I should have it insured with Lloyds of London, considering what I paid for it! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/rotflmao.gif I am glad I bought it, but I haven't been back on e-bay since! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/wink.gif

Cause I'm the mama, that's why!!!;)
Luckymama58,
You got your copy from Ebay? And you had to pay that much? There's a copy on there now for a penny. I went through bibliofind PRICEY!(Although worth it to me,but there to like you my family thinks i'm Cheez and crackers I think you and i are as the saying goes a pair of fools LOL
Cheryl Harrell 07-30-2001, 07:39 AM Ya'll must be rich LOL! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/wink.gif I wish I had that kind of $$$ to spend on Freddie & Arlo Guthrie stuff. Next time I see something I want, I will ask ya'll for donations ROTFL! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
I can only afford to buy stuff that's cheap priced. I've had to turn down sooo many Arlo & Freddie things I needed due to lack of $$$. So glad I paid only $12 for my book...
Cheryll,
Next time you see pictures of Freddie on Ebay could you share the info. I'd really LOVE to Have one. Thanks
Cheryl Harrell 07-30-2001, 05:33 PM I've saved some pics of him off of E-BAY & am putting those on my site so those who missed them can see them. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif I am doing some interesting things on the site...
Cheryl Harrell 08-30-2001, 10:10 AM I saw this on the internet & wanted it sooo bad but the bidding got to more than I could afford. So I couldn't bid. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/frown.gif Figured you'd all want to see it. Whoever got it I envy them! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/wink.gif

ladyinleppard 08-30-2001, 03:17 PM Hi Cheryl, I am the lucky one that gets to purchase it.Im doing a happy dance. I cant afford it either but Im scraping pennys for it.I cant wait to get it.
------------------
MariposaLKB 08-30-2001, 03:27 PM I saw this item once a while back and when I went to find it again I couldn't. So glad you posted the URL here so I could see it again, Cheryl! The picture of Freddie in the tux alone would be worth every penny to me! Congratulations, ladyinleppard!

Cheryl Harrell 08-30-2001, 06:17 PM Glad to see it's going to someone that's on here. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif I keep seeing strange people who aren't on the Freddie sites bidding on stuff. If they aren't on the sites, they need to be. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif Or they can let me have the stuff cheap LOL! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif Enjoy your autographed display! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

catcopy18 08-30-2001, 11:12 PM Yea Cheryl I noticed that too. There are a lot of people who pay big bucks for CATM or Freddie Prinze things who never post on any of his web-sites. I bet they're eaves-dropping - don't you? (LOL) http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/eyes2.gif
hillbilly 08-31-2001, 06:33 PM No one is bidding on this!Clippings of Freddie. It only has a few mintues left http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1459072671

Cheryl Harrell 09-01-2001, 11:47 PM There is something I want of Freddie & it is only $5. My hubby said he would get it for me. Please, please don't bid on it cuz I want him to get it for me. If you see it forget you ever saw it LOL! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif If the bidding got to more than $5 then he might not be able to afford to get it for me. I promise I will scan it & put it on my site. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
Also if anyone from here was the winner of the Freddie clippings would it be possible for you to scan a copy of them & e-mail it to me so I can put them on my site plus have them for my collection. I will credit you on my site. Thanks! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

catcopy18 09-04-2001, 10:13 PM Hillbilly - was that the picture of Ed and Chico in the tub? If it is, I wonder why they just showed the preview of Ed in the tub and not the part with Chico in it? They wanted to save it as a selling point I bet.
Or was it something else hillbilly that I missed hillbilly?
ladyinleppard 09-04-2001, 10:26 PM Ebay buyers beware,I MAY CRY. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/frown.gif My Freddie picture is not what I expected. The signature is smuged,It has a crack in the framing peace inside, the jacket Freddie is wearing has smuges all over it.I can cry...actually I am http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/frown.gifPlus it was supposed to have a coa which it did NOT.....I love the picture of him but it is NOT what I paid for.She should have said the signature was smuged and all but she did not! Just a note to tell you be careful what you buy.
------------------
Karen64 09-04-2001, 11:32 PM Sorry to hear that, Ladyinleppard! I sometimes buy things from e-bay--I went & looked at the item and took note of the seller's name. I will think twice about buying anything from them!
I'm so sorry to hear about the poor quality of the picture. It's a shame that there are people in the world who take advantage of a person's love for Freddie in such a cruel way.
hillbilly 09-05-2001, 09:03 AM Catcopy, it is a rare columbia dj-only ep in mint condition. It has the theme from Chico and the man and also the closing theme,Hard times in el barrio.Go and check it out.

Pitooey 09-05-2001, 09:48 AM What a tough break. I hate when sellers do that.
Luckymama58 09-05-2001, 11:26 AM Ladyinleppard, I feel your pain. We all take chances when we buy on e-bay. I hope you gave negative feedback to the seller. That is the only way we have to identify those sellers that try to rip people off! As with any business transaction, the old Latin adage *Cavat emptor (sp) always applies!
*let the buyer beware!

horselover47 09-05-2001, 02:00 PM I know exactly how you feel!!! My very first purchase from eBay was a lemon!! I bid on and won a used Louis Vuitton briefcase (was suppose to be real, but that's another story). Paid over $100 for it and what I received were two very cheap, WalMart type fake leather soft briefcases..one black and the other was a goofy pattern of some sort. You are fortunate, though. Your seller is still a registered user! Mine disappeared immediately after the auction ended!!! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/mad.gif
LEAVE THAT NEGATIVE FEEDBACK NOW!!! Don't wait because the seller could pull a vanishing act, too!!!
Kathy
ladyinleppard 09-05-2001, 04:10 PM Yea It looks great in the picture.Im gonna get a hold of the seller and go from there.Live and learn I guess.
------------------
Cheryl Harrell 09-05-2001, 05:00 PM Oh wow! Sorry to hear of your bad luck ont he picture. I guess it's just as well that I didn't have the money to buy it. I do want one of him like that tho. That pic of him in a tux looked so good too. Hope ya get things resolved soon & yes leave negative feedback. We're rooting for ya! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
Cheryl Harrell 09-05-2001, 11:18 PM My hearts been broken by E_Bay. Well actually another E-Bay buyer. I saw a neat old TIGER BEAT magazine from 1975 with Freddie in it up for bid that I wanted. Auction goes off tomorrow. It was only $5. I was waiting until tonite to bid on it so I wouldn't get outbid. Someone had bid on it & it it was $5. So I had to bid highter than I wanted to. Sad thing is it went to mroe than I cqan afford. If I bid anymore it'll go so sky high. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/frown.gif http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/frown.gif http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/frown.gif http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/frown.gif It was supposed to have in it Freddie Prinze Is He Too Cool?. You folks will never find out cuz now I can't have it for my site & collection. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/frown.gif Sad thing is on these magazine we're not only bidding against other Freddie fans but also bidding against fans of other stars.
Idea. If LUCKYMAMA can afford it she can bid on it & then post the stuff on it on Ed Browns garage. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
I feel like being an Ed Brown Grouch LOL! I wan that magazine (Whines & stamps feet!) LOL!

ladyinleppard 09-06-2001, 01:26 PM Thank you, thank you, thank you, horselover47.I didnt reconize the bidder as anyone on the board.Course Ive just barely started posting here.I feel kinda bad bidding against anyone cause they want it too but thats the way it goes.I have been looking to buy that very magazine for a long time.I havent been looking recently because of the problems Ive had, but I know too there are a lot of nice seller out there. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
------------------
Cheryl Harrell 09-06-2001, 03:47 PM Actually I was just kidding about Luckymama buying the mag & posting it on Frddie sites. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/wink.gif The $15.50 was more than I could afford to & the auction ended with the bidder winning my magazine which I would've shared on my site with ya'll.
I'd love to have that 16 magazine but the biddings going too high for me. If someone from here wins the bid could you e-mail me a scan of the Freddie stuff from it for my collection & for me to put on my site? I'd credit ya on my site! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
Thre's something else I want & I pray no one bids on it so I can have it. Sad thing is we are competing against fans of other stars for these magazines. They certainly can't love their stars as much as we love Freddie. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
Here's something ya'll might be interested iN:

MariposaLKB 09-06-2001, 04:39 PM Cheryl, thanx for the heads up to the photo on eBay! I love the way he looks, too--tight white pants like in the first episode with Liz when he came back from his vacation. Mmmmmm! I recognize the guy with him (the seller says he/she doesn't know who it is)--it's David Steinberg, another comedian who was famous back then and who since went on to direct TV shows (I forget which ones, though).

ladyinleppard 09-06-2001, 06:43 PM Thanks hillbilly Ill do that.A lot of board members have their own site I see.How nice.I hope Freddie somehow can feel the love.
------------------
Cheryl Harrell 09-09-2001, 12:04 AM Freddie came in the mail today! Don't I wish! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gifActually I had bid on a nice BW pic of CHico & Ed on E-BAY. I'd have rather it been color but one can't have everything. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/wink.gif Normally I don't bid on pictures that are on E-Bay of Freddie or my other starts like Arlo & the Monkees etc cuz I can't afford it & I can always save the pic to my puter & print it out if I want a printout. I ned to save my $$$ for the really rare & good stuff like magazine etc. So the only pics I'd normally buy of Freddie would be rare stuff like Autographed ones & autgraphed displays. (I want some!)
Anyway, I decided to buy this pic cuz I wanted a good one of Chico & Ed to put on the wall of my den. Well, anyway the pic finally came today! YAY!
I read on another Freddie message board that he did the backup vocals on a TONY ORLANDO & DAWN record. I went looking up the info on it on the internet thru an internet search. Found some TONY ORLANDO & DAWN sites with the info on it. There are folks as crazy about them as we are over Freddie! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif Anyway here is the info:
I did a web search of TONY ORLANDO sites searching for this on it & got this info:
"Tony Orlando and Dawn -To Be With You - Elektra Records 7E-1049 - 1976 (Also released in Quad version)
Side 1: Cupid, To Be With You, Caress Me Pretty Music, Selfish One, Happy Man
Side 2: Midnight Love Affair, Talk To Me, You're All I Need To Get By, (You're) Growin' On Me, When The Party's Over"
It's not on CD either. I decided to go to this one flea mart that sells old used records to see if they had it. Sadly we dopn't have as many oldies record shops & the few that are left I dunno if they'd have it. Fortunately this flea mart had it & for only $4! He is credited on the record! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif But no pic of him on it. Oh well... You hear the girls more at first but then Freddie is on later more towards the end. Or at least I hear him more towards then. If that's him man does he have a sexy voice! UMMM... http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif I'll have to tape this & put it on my site. I'd have to tape it on cassette tape then play the cassette tape on a handheld cassette deck in front of the puters microphone as I record it. Poor sound but better than nothing. I have to get the sound to show up on my site tho...
Cheryl Harrell 09-21-2001, 03:13 AM Guess what? Freddie's own personal bracelet is up for auction on E-BAY! Unfortuantely it is $50 with a reserve not met yet on it & reserve not met yet means that the bidding starting price is not what the seller wants & you have to bid at least as much as the bidder really wants for it. So it is probably waaay more than I can afford. Even the $50 is more than I can afford. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/frown.gif So since I can't afford it I'd like it to go to someone from here instead of a stranger. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif Jack gave it to Freddie. Why Maria doesn't have it I dunno... I saved the pic of it on my puter so I can put it on my site. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1466882478
It is sooo sweet! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
Also a CD Rom with his high school picture & some other stars high school pictures is on it. Since I can't afford it I'd rather it go to someone on here instead of a stranger:
http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1466775598
Also I can't afford a Bananas Magazine with him in it so I'll let you guys have it. If you win the bid on it can you scan a copy of the Freddie stuff & send to me for my site? I'll be glad to give you the credit on my site! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1466841377

LADY LOVES FREDDIE 09-21-2001, 11:47 AM I saw that braclet Cheryl.Wouldnt that be lovely to have? http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
------------------
Cheryl Harrell 09-21-2001, 03:29 PM Now if I could find someone to buy it for me... http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
Cheryl Harrell 09-21-2001, 03:45 PM Some stranger I've never seen on any of the Freddie boards or sites has bid on the bracelet already. I sure hope one of you guys can bid on it so it can remain in the Freddie family. It was upsetting to see that someone outbid Luckymama on the ROLLING STONE with Freddie in it & it's gone way too high. I hope the person from here that bid on the magazine about Freddie breaking down at the altar wins it instead of the Donna Fargo Fan. We shall overcome! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
Cheryl Harrell 09-22-2001, 04:46 AM I saw where someon named CHICOHOLIC has the high bid on it & it is over $100 & the price the sell wants is still not met yet. Hey Donald Trump we need to be friends so you can get it for me! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif Since this person loves Freddie enough to want his bracelet, they'll have to join us on here! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
Cheryl Harrell 09-23-2001, 02:34 AM I think I want to cry. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/frown.gif My Chico/Freddie doll that I want, some strange person has bid on it against the strange person that had already bid on it & it is now up to $30. I know my hubby is not gonna be able to afford to get me the doll for Christmas now unless a miracle happens. This always happens, whenever I really want or need something the price goes to much more than I can afford & I don't get to have it & my heart has been broken this way many times over. What's odd is the 2 people bidding on it, are folks I've never seen on any CATM/Freddie sites. I see strange people bidding on Arlo stuff who never hang out on any of his websites. I wonder where these strange folks who love Freddie & Arlo come from LOL? If these folks love Freddie & Arlo so much why don't they join in on the CATM/Freddie & Arlo sites?
And here I had picked out where I was gonna put the doll when I got it. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/crying.gif I should've never picked out where I was gonna put it when I got it. Whenever I do that that's when the price goes to more than I can afford or the item sells out. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/frown.gif Sigh... http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/frown.gif http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/frown.gif http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/crying.gif
[This message has been edited by Cheryl Harrell (edited 09-23-2001).]
Cheryl Harrell 09-24-2001, 01:43 AM I had the high bid on the Freddie Doll at $31.99 & then some strange person who I've never seen on any CATM/Freddie sites out bid me. My hubby said the most he can pay for it is $40. So I had to re-bid & have the top bid at $37. I need prayers & miracles that I can win the bid on this doll. Thanks! I just found myself talking to God Ed Brown style asking Freddie Prinze style that I have the winning bid. Where do these strange folks who buy Freddie stuff but never come on his websites come from?
If any of you strangers are lurking & reading this... Why not let us regulars have the Freddie stuff instead of outbidding us on it & come on over & join us on here. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

Cheryl Harrell 09-24-2001, 04:13 PM Another strange person I have never seen on any CATM/Freddie sites had the top bid outbidding me! Yuck! So I had to re-bid for more $$$. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/frown.gif I have the high bid at $46 on the doll. Auction ends in an hr & 41 minutes so I need to pray, pray, pray that I win it...

Cheryl Harrell 09-24-2001, 06:13 PM I won the bid on the doll at $46! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif Mike will give it to me for Christmas. It will be my big present! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif I've decided that when it come I won't open it up & look at it since I've seen the pics of it on the net but will wait till Christmas so I can have a surprise. I hope I can wait that long. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif I know where I will put him. I don't want to put him in our bedroom or the guest bedroom cuz I'd be having to move him everytime I wanted to get into the bed & don't want to move him too too much cuz I don't want Freddie/Chico to get messed up. So I hope to put him on this antique dining room chair we have in the living room. He'll perk up the room & it'll be a good place to put him where he can be seen. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/heart.gif
Arlo's coming & doing a local show an hr north of me in Nov & the tickets went on sale today. I got front row. Not center but on the right. Not a bad day at all! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

Pitooey 09-24-2001, 06:20 PM Congratulations Cheryl!!!!!
I am so happy you won!!!! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
I didn't bid because I'm already a Freddie fanatic and I wouldn't even think about bringing Freddie to my house. I showed it to my hubby, but I didn't dare bid. Congratulations.................. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
Pitooey 09-24-2001, 06:27 PM Cheryl - When it comes just take a peek at it. Then close the box and wrap it for Christmas. Your hubby is the "best"!
To Cheryl's hubby....... "You are the best"!!! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
I was so scared to ask my hubby for the doll.......... LOL http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/rotflmao.gif

Cheryl Harrell 09-25-2001, 04:00 AM Thanks for the good wishes! Shipping is $25 on top of the price of the doll & we ain't rich either so we may be eating dirt & water the next month LOL! I was lucky enough to convbince my hubby I needed the doll. He has a coupla Elvis dolls so he knew he couldn't say no LOL!
Pitooey 09-25-2001, 09:18 AM ***Wow*** $25.00 bucks for shipping. He must weigh at least what the real Freddie weighed. Either that or he's filled with rocks.
Sheesh..... I'm lucky not to have asked my hubby. I knew better. He buys me my expensive dolls for my doll collection. I know he would've told me "NO". Maybe because Freddie looked so real. LOL........ http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/rotflmao.gif
horselover47 09-25-2001, 10:39 AM Wow! The bracelet is now at $200! Whoever that Chicoholic is sure must want it pretty bad!!! That's most definitely out of my eBay budget! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/eek4.gif
Kathy
Cheryl Harrell 09-25-2001, 06:55 PM We can't afford it. The CHICOHOLIC person will have to join us on here. If they like him enough to spend that much money for it, they surte belong here. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif I saw Lady In Leppard has bid on it too. I was rooting for them since theyw ere on here. It should go to someone from on here... http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
horselover47 09-26-2001, 11:13 AM The bracelet is at $201.50 now with just a couple of hours to go on the auction and the reserve hasn't been met.
I was thinking about it, though, and IMHO, I believe the bracelet should be GIVEN to FPJr. That bracelet is a VERY personal item that belonged to his late father and FPJr should be the rightful owner of such a priceless and personal item. Just my .02....
Kathy
LADY LOVES FREDDIE 09-26-2001, 02:45 PM I cant believe its up to $355.00 now.I sure cant afford that http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/eek2.gif I wonder what that person wants for it cause reserve still isnt met.Im suprised Jr. doent have that in his personal stuff. It should be his, I agree with horselover. But if I was rich I would buy it sence its someone elses.

horselover47 09-26-2001, 03:57 PM Ok, I sent an email to the seller of the bracelet and here it is with his response:Hi Kathy-
Thanks for your comments.
About two months ago I contacted the Screen Actors Guild in Los Angeles to find the name of Freddie Prinze Junior's agent. I sent a registered letter (which was received) and there was zero response. I know that he was in Los Angeles during that time as he appeared on Jay Leno and other shows. And no, I wasn't trying to sell it to him, I would have just given it to him of course.
Additionally, I posted a question on the 'AuctionWatch' site to ask other sellers their opinions as to the morality of selling this. The consensus was almost 100% in favor of attempting contact, waiting a reasonable time and then selling it if there was no response. I'm sure a true fan would love and cherish it.

Just a comment....
I believe you should give this bracelet to Freddie Prinze, Jr. It is a personal and priceless possesion of his late father and he should be the rightful owner. Photographs, books and videos about Freddie Prinze, Sr. are one thing to sell which is OK, but a personal possession that you're trying to capitilize on and make money from is something completely different. Put yourself in FPJr's shoes....wouldn't you like to have something of your late father's that meant that much to him (as you know it did), a gift from a dear friend and co-star of his show.
Just my opinion.
Cheryl Harrell 09-26-2001, 06:18 PM I agree it should've been kept in the family. I'm surprised Maria didn't have it. I would love to know the history of the bracelet & how they got ahold of it. I think they were charging waaay too much for it. If they wanted fans to have it they should've realized no loyal fan is gonna have that kind of money. In order to afford my Freddie doll I may be eating dirt & water next month LOL!
Cheryl Harrell 09-26-2001, 06:43 PM The TONY ORLANDO & DAWN record album with Freddie on it is for sale here:

Maria's book here for $3:

chicosladyfair 09-26-2001, 10:23 PM WHOA, what does loyalty and money have to do with anything? I never knew that all the loyal Freddie fans were broke. LOL.
I hardly think that's the case here. If I had wanted the bracelet bad enough I would have found a way to get that money...come hell or high water. I say you'd have to be a die hard Freddie fan to shell out that kind of money...she fought tooth and nail for that bracelet and equally as hard for the money. I don't think a price tag has anything to do with loyalty.
Cheryl Harrell 09-27-2001, 12:33 AM Oops, I didn't mean to have worded that the wrong way. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif I know there are some folks who love him who do have that kind of money. Sadly there are some folks like me who don't have that kind of money. If my hubby & I spent that kind of money on something like that it would mean not having enough money to pay for groceries or medicines & bills etc. We're having to scrape to get the doll so my hubby can give it to me for Christmas. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif I do hope whoever bought the bracelet enjoys it! It looks like a nice bracelet & I know they will enjoy it! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif I'd love to know the whole story beind it. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
Cheryl Harrell 10-15-2001, 06:42 AM I found a sexy pic of Freddie here:

& Some more pics of him here:

chicosladyfair 10-15-2001, 09:36 AM Please be careful with photos, folks. It is extremely easy to manipulate a photo taken off the web and print it out on high quality photo paper and pass it off as an authentic *rare* print. I can do it here at home. With the cost of the paper per sheet, the little amount of ink and the time it would take to run it thru Adobe (about 20 minutes)I could have one of these *rare* authentic photos for about .30 cents in materials. Bidder beware.
Cheryl Harrell 10-15-2001, 07:17 PM Thanks for the info! The only pic I've ever bought on E-Bay was one of CHICO & ED so I could have a nice one to put on display in our den. I usually save the pics on my puter to have fun with them. I posted the links to thses cuz I thought folks would love to see them... http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
Pitooey 10-15-2001, 08:05 PM Chicosladyfair.... Thanks for the headsup!!!
Pitooey 10-15-2001, 08:07 PM Okay Cheryl!!! Did you get him!!! You know "The Freddie Doll"!!! I can't wait for you to get him................. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
chicosladyfair 10-15-2001, 10:02 PM I saved them too Cheryl. I thought they were adorable pics. I will run the one of Freddie by himself (the one that says EBAY through the middle of it)through my Adobe program and get rid of the letters to show y'all how easy it is. I'll post it on my site when I get it done. Plus it's nice to have a pic of Freddie without EBAY written across it. LOL. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/grineyes.gif
Cheryl Harrell 10-16-2001, 06:30 AM I took the one with E-BAY on it & already removed the E-BAY by copying & cloning the materials from his t-shirt & shirt & hope to use it on my site too somehow. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif It was a cute one. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
Sadly we won't be getting the doll after all. When we went to the bank to pull out the money for the doll that week my hubby didn't have enough left to cover it. He had sent in
some of next months bills early cuz we were going on a several day trip weekend after that one to KY with his cousin & her hubby to visit some of my hubbys relatives there & go to a reunion there. He was afraid they might be due while we were gone. So this
put us way behind. The 2 girls/ladies selling the doll needed the money now if they were gonna sell & couldn't wait till my hubby got his next disability
check the next week (He is disabled & legally blind due to diabetes) so they decided to keep Freddie for now & if
they ever decide to sell him again they will let me know. Fortunately they were understanding about it. It's sad I won't get my doll as he was gonna be a Christmas present for me but at least I got to buy 2
Freddie magazines off of E-Bay. I scanned the articles & want to put them on my site.
Oh well, that's life I guess...

Pitooey 10-16-2001, 01:37 PM Cheryl - Lucky the ladies were very understanding. I understand what you're going through though.

Cheryl Harrell 10-17-2001, 08:10 PM I won the bid on an old TIGER BEAT magazine with Freddie in it that ahs 10 clipping of him included with it. I had to pay more than I wanted to cuz the stranger who bid on it first was out bidding me up too high. I plan to put the stuff on my site...
