One of the headings on this board is called spin off show, what kind of spin off do you think they would have had for our guy?

More romance for Chico...eventually Jack did pass away so maybe Chico could take over the garage. I could see him getting married (Rev. Bemis could perform the ceremony with little bits of spiritual whimsey)and having kids...some funny material in that.
I think he would have had those flash-back moments where he would think of Ed and all the things he tought him. Louie could have had a bigger role...maybe Chico could have asked him to be a partner.

It would've been fun to see him in a Jack Tripper-esque role--moving in an apartment with 2 female friends in a platonic relationship. (Well, mostly platonic!!) http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/grineyes.gif

I like the Jack Tripperish role. He would've been so good in that. He was such a natural comedian.

For some reason Goldie Hawn sprang to mind as one of the roommates. She's hilarious!

I think that would be cool too! Can you imagine the dialouge from two such imaginative and funny people?

I don't know if this really qualifies as a spin-off but I would have loved to see Freddie have his own variety show, like the ones that were very popular back then. To see him singing, dancing and doing comedy sketches EVERY week with some of the top stars of the day would have had me glued to the TV set every week! I could see Jack and Scatman as regular guest stars as well, with all their vast experience in Vaudeville. Which stars would you have liked to see on his variety show? Personally, anyone would be good, so long as Freddie was always there! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/love.gif http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/eyes.gif

I would have loved to have seen him in Jay Leno's chair. Although I love Jay Leno - I am a humongous fan of Jay's!!!!! I could've seen Freddie on the Tonight show at 47 years of age.

Yeah, if he had still been around when Johnny Carson retired I can see Freddie and David Letterman fighting for the job--or maybe Johnny would have hand-picked Freddie to be his successor!
