yeah she's 18, when her cd came out she was 17. She dropped out of her last year of school...

I know at times you have to sacrifice things in order to gain some things, but that's kind of a waste to drop out your last year. She was so close to finishing high school. Don't mind me, I'm not trying to start a fight or anything.

I agree too. She was so close to finishing, I mean she had been going to school for 12 years, what would a few more months mean? I think the record company could've worked with her. She may could've even been homeschooled. What if her career had've failed?

Its kind of a waste to drop out in your senior year...all the other female popstars finished high school, and were probably just as young as her. All you need is a tutor.

Exactly. Look at how the music business changes and how fast it changes. You could be the biggest thing in the music industry today and be a has been tomorrow. It's just too risky.

I know some people see fame as a way to earn money that will be yours and to travel the world. That could be a big influence for some if you are poor and you hate where you live.

I'm just saying if I were her, I would've finished hs and gotten my diploma and have something to back me up in case I'm a has been tomorrow. jmo

Edit: Oh yeah, I do realize some people just flat out hate school. Fame could be an excuse to get away from something you hate. I hated school, but I didn't drop out. I earned that diploma and I wasn't about to go for 12 years and drop out during my last year. Why even go if I'm just going to drop out. I'm not famous either, but I stuck with it- no matter how much I hated it.

Yeah, the money that she is earning now can't support her for the rest of her life. But it's her decision, so I guess it's her business.
