The only reason she dropped out was because she got a record deal, she was almost done with school completly SO WHAT? SBTB Geek 01-06-2003, 07:08 PM Originally posted by Avril Lavigne Ugh, you always try picking fights with me. She was so close to finishing high school. Don't mind me, I'm not trying to start a fight or anything. She was so close to finishing, I mean she had been going to school for 12 years, what would a few more months mean? I think the record company could've worked with her. She may could've even been homeschooled. What if her career had've failed? Mr. Stefani 01-06-2003, 09:03 PM Its kind of a waste to drop out in your senior year...all the other female popstars finished high school, and were probably just as young as her. All you need is a tutor. ~*Hannah_Lee*~ 01-06-2003, 09:06 PM Originally posted by timmy087 Its kind of a waste to drop out in your senior year...all the other female popstars finished high school, and were probably just as young as her. She may could've even been homeschooled. What if her career had've failed? Exactly. Look at how the music business changes and how fast it changes. You could be the biggest thing in the music industry today and be a has been tomorrow. It's just too risky. I know some people see fame as a way to earn money that will be yours and to travel the world. That could be a big influence for some if you are poor and you hate where you live. I'm just saying if I were her, I would've finished hs and gotten my diploma and have something to back me up in case I'm a has been tomorrow. jmo Edit: Oh yeah, I do realize some people just flat out hate school. Fame could be an excuse to get away from something you hate. I hated school, but I didn't drop out. I earned that diploma and I wasn't about to go for 12 years and drop out during my last year. Why even go if I'm just going to drop out. I'm not famous either, but I stuck with it- no matter how much I hated it. But it's her decision, so I guess it's her business. Warm & Fuzzy 01-06-2003, 10:15 PM Originally posted by ¤MsConanOBrien¤ You taking sides woman?!?! *slap* :D HEY!
