Ralph 100 11-04-2001, 11:12 PM They were both started on Happy Days, and I think Garry Marshall came up with them hd watcher 11-06-2001, 02:11 PM I'm not sure about 'sit on it", but I believe "nerd" was first used in one of the "Dr. Suess" children's books. It was the name of one of the characters (like "grinch"). I read that somewhere recently. TJ 11-07-2001, 02:36 AM It was mentioned on the A&E special on Happy Days that writer Mark Rothman came up with the 'sit on it'phrase when Garry Marshall thought they needed a catchphrase for the show. |
