View Full Version : Sopranos Fans Welcome
Moonlight Lady 01-06-2003, 01:56 PM I love this show
I started watching this show back in January of 2000. It's really good. I really hope they keep this show on. I want to see what becomes of Tony and Carmela; will they divorce, will they get back together, the marriage of Adriana LaCerva and Christopher Moltisanti. I would also like to see Bobby Baccala remarry. He and Janice seem to be happy together for the moment.
.
Brian Damage 01-06-2003, 08:38 PM Yay I just found out about this board! Anyway, I hope Baccala doesn't marry Janice because I think she's a conniving B*tch! I do see Tony and Carmella getting a divorce. I wonder if that will leave open the return of Furio.
Janice 01-09-2003, 05:52 PM Cool. A Soprano board. Starting Sunday, February 2nd, all 4 seasons of the Sopranos will air. The 5th season starts in September.
I love this picture even if it's from Christmas.
Brian Damage 01-14-2003, 03:47 PM Cool, I've never seen the first season of episodes.

You're in for a treat Brian. I've never missed an episode. The first few seasons were better than the last few, IMO. Wait until you see how thin the cast looks, lol.
The first couple of seasons were more mobster style. There were more killings, Tony messed around on Carm more. It wasn't all college crap and family stuff. Tony's family life was addressed, but it wasn't the focal point. It was a good blend, and it was like watching a mini Goodfellas every week.
I started to get irritated when it started to turn into Dawson's Creek, although this past season, we barely saw the kids.

I don't know if I would want Bobby marrying Janice. Maybe he could hook up with Rosalie Aprile or Angie Bonpinsiero.
BTW: I'm glad Rosalie is through with Ralphie. I never liked that guy.
Brian Damage 11-01-2003, 12:33 PM Ralphie is out of the picture permanently anyway. Hopefully next season which is around March or April will be better than last season.
LILFACE23 11-01-2003, 12:39 PM I don't think Bobby should marry Janice either. She is always trying to munipulate everyone she comes across. I think when she was with Ritchie, they made the perfect match, they were both scum together!!!. I was shocked when she shot him though. Anyways, Bobby is way too nice to marry Janice. She'd tear his heart apart, not to mention his kids. She's already done a good job of getting on their bad side!!! I also can't wait to see what happens with Tony and Carmela. I've been hooked on this show since day 1, it's great to see this board!!!! :)
Brian Damage 11-01-2003, 12:41 PM I hope you come by often.
Moonlight Lady 11-01-2003, 01:02 PM I really hope that Carm and Tony don't get divorced. Although, I really don't blame her for wanting to.
Getting back to Janice, She was with the narcoleptic religious guy for awhile. That lasted, what, a month?
Hi everyone
LILFACE23 11-01-2003, 01:04 PM Brian Damage..... Thanks hon, I'll try!!!;)

You got that right... Heaven help any man who gets involved with her.
Justfuhgetaboutit 01-16-2005, 10:22 PM I love this show too. One day I might get all of the Seasons on DVD but their so expensive. I'll just have to wait and see. That would be awesome to have the whole series on DVD because you can watch them whenever you want and you can watch them for a long time because DVD's don't wear out as easily as VHS tapes or DVD's may never wear out at all.
hoosierelvisfan 01-25-2005, 10:14 AM You are correct, the dvd sets are expensive but if you can save up for a while, I think it's a good way to see the shows. I don't subscribe to HBO so I never got to see the Sopranos while they were originally aired. I had heard about all the "Sopranos Mania" but I didn't know what it was all about until the dvd sets came out. I waited until they came out on dvd until I watched them because I wanted to watch them in order from the beginning. I didn't want to come in the middle of the series, wondering about the storyline and being confused about the characters, etc. Check out any of your local used cd/dvd stores. I bought all my Sopranos dvd sets for an excellent price at a local used cd store that also sells some used dvd's. The fourth one I got, I bought it used on Ebay at a pretty good price. Also, check out your local library. My local library has Seasons one and two, I believe. So for anyone who wants to watch the episodes in order and they don't own the sets, see if the library has copies. My local library is getting quite a few TV season sets/series: e.g., Sopranos, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Monk, Dallas, and quite a few BBC sets. Anyway, I still remember when I bought my Season One set and started watching the shows, I became instantly hooked. I couldn't stop watching the episodes!!! LOL! I became a Sopranos addict!!!! One of these weekends I'm going to go through the series again in order.

Justfuhgetaboutit 02-13-2005, 08:57 PM Oh hey you know how I was saying how I might get the whole series on DVD someday? Well now I have seasons 1-4 on DVD! It was well worth the money.I know that's not all of the seasons but once 5&6 come to DVD I'll probably get those too without a doubt. I love this show. I can't wait untill season 5 comes to DVD. Season 5 was pretty explosive between the Tony Blundetto and the Phil Leotardo war and Chris and Adrianna, It was great. I watched all of the season four set and that was a good season too. I'm starting to watch the second season too. I'm kind of going out of order But I think It will be alright if I do.
hoosierelvisfan 02-14-2005, 10:27 AM Hey, that's great that you got the season dvd sets. Once, I got the first set, I couldn't stop either. I had to get all of them. And, I agree with you. Season Five, IMHO, was a really good season. I thought Season One was really good and Season Two was excellent. Seasons three and Four were kind of let-downs, IMHO. They weren't as good as the first two seasons. And then Season Five was much better and it was exciting all over again. I think this weekend, I going to watch all of the Sopranos all over again. Beginning with Season One and watching each episode in order. If I do, this will be the third time I've watched the show all the way through season by season. I love the characters on the show. Awesome.

DutchYou know to be honest with you I think season 3 was actually kinda good. I liked it cause that was when Chris got made and that was when Chris and Adrianna's relationship was getting pretty hott and exciting and starting to develop. I liked the part I think in "second opinion" when Chris gets her those shoes and they talk about who their first famous person they had sex with was and Ad said "Penn and Teller" lol. The only thing I might of not liked about season 3 was Noah and Jackie Jr. cause they were both kinda like pricks in their own way. But the good thing about Jackie Jr. is that he contributed a lot to the season cause when he busted up that card game and shot Furio and took a shot at Chris that added a lot of intense moments to the season.
hoosierelvisfan 02-15-2005, 10:17 AM Oh, don't get me wrong, the entire series is good, including the 3rd and 4th seasons, it's just that I think Season 5 got the "cutting edge" back, if you know what I mean. Season 5 got more of that excitement back that was felt in the first two seasons. That's my opinion, anyway.

Yea that's true because season five is when a lot of new people started coming in like Tony Blundetto and Phil Leotardo. Then Johhny Sac's character had a big role in the season. I liked the episode in season 5 when Tony, Chris, and Tony B. are all at their uncles or whatever in the country. I also liked it when they showed Chris and Tony B. talking in the car. I like Chris's Range Rover or whatever It's prett sweet.
hoosierelvisfan 02-16-2005, 08:38 AM At the end of Season Five, Johnny Sac was being arrested at his house as Tony was running away through the neighborhood, scared for his life. BTW, wasn't it Tony telling Christopher in one of the previous episodes that you never run. And then they end the season by showing Tony running for his life. LOL! Anyway, I wonder what will happen during the next season regarding Johnny Sac??? It seems that Johnny Sac was kindof out of control during season five and I thought it was building up to either Johnny Sac killing someone or Johnny Sac being killed. I wonder if he will be in jail this time and that will take him out of the picture, so to speak, or will he get out in a hurry and still pose a threat to Tony???? Interesting.

Schmoopie 07-15-2008, 06:41 AM My husband is the real fan of this show, since I'm not really into the killings and all of that. But somehow, this show has grown on me. It has several hilarious moments. We started out watching it on Bravo and then decided to rent them from Netflix. Great show.I can see why it's so popular. I could do without the constant swearing though. But then again, I suppose it fits in with the characters and story lines.
