Here's a message I posted in TV Land's BM Message board, along with the moderator's reply (I post as fuzzbox1 there):

TVLTHELINK: Barney beyond January?
Date 01.04.03 6:30 PM
From: fuzzbox1

Will Barney Miller continue to be shown through at least February? That would be great news. I loved the last things last, first things first theme you had on new year's eve and new years' day by the way. Watching Barney Miller's last and first episodes was awesome. Would you guys consider doing some feature on the show? Like a biography/behind the scenes/character profile sort of thing?
Thanks!

[TVLTheLink: Unfortunately, I haven't seen the TV Land schedule for February. As soon as it becomes available, I will try to get the information posted.

I'll pass along your interest in some "special programming" for the show. At this time, however, I am unaware of any plans to do so.]

I think these guys really look at feedback in their message boards, and, in my experience, are quick to respond when asked questions. I've also noticed that some people (Janice :) ) from here have posted messages. I'd encourage all to post there frequently as well.

I'm on the case maclen. ;)
Really, you're so right that they should profile Barney Miller. I've seen shows profiled that weren't near the caliber of Barney Miller. The show ran for 7 years, has a cult following of sorts. I'd love to know more about how show originated, the actors, the set, all that good stuff.
The problem is probably that the set was too peaceful. There were no clashing egos, walkouts, money disputes, etc.
By the way, love your handle fuzzbox1. :D
