On New Year's Day I went to a Christian bookstore in Federal Way
while waiting for the bus and read a few magazines when I heard a few magic words: "The Facts of Life"... I turned and asked the clerk if I heard those words correctly. She said that Lisa's book "The Facts Of Life and Other Lessons My Father Taught Me" was on sale for $5.00!!! I then thought...waaaiiiiit a minute...when a book is on sale for that price, it usually means it's a weak seller and they're just trying to get rid of it?? They explained it was their book of the month on sale for the month of January. So then I showed them a little thingie I had on hand--my pictures of me and Lisa I had taken back in April when she was in Eugene, Oregon!!! They thought that was SOOOOOO cool!!!!!

The other exciting thing was while I was waiting for the bus, I went in to a Petsmart store to look at kitties, and one was swatting my scalp with its paw!! The clerk said it was a Maine Coon cat, and generally they are gentle, docile cats, but this one was getting antsy and prolly looking for attention!!

What does this have to do with Lisa's book being on sale? I dunno either.

And her FOL book is coming out in paperback format in April 2003. So it must be doing well. I certainly enjoyed it.

Maybe if I bought that book AND adopted that cat, I would have
been able to read the book to it...
