View Full Version : 2 whole years!
catcopy18 01-05-2003, 11:12 PM Wasn't it 2 years ago this weekend that TV-land aired Chico and the Man for their weekend Marathon? When I saw Freddie on CATM again it brought back every wonderful memory and feeling I had for him!!! In the past 2 years I've noticed we've lost some fans here but on the other hand, we've gained some new ones who have added a lot of neat things to the boards. Generally speaking, do most of you feel your attraction for Freddie is still as strong, stronger or what? Just curious!!! Mine is stronger since I've learned so many interesting things about him and alot of you have found and created such tantalizing photos!!! Thank you all for helping to keep his memory strong and alive!!! :)
Cheryl Harrell 01-06-2003, 05:15 AM Wow, has it been 2 yrs already since I got into Freddie? :) Seems like just yesterday I found out CATM was gonna come back on TVLAND & have the marthon & decided to watch the marathon cuz I had liked the show in the 70's & watched it back then. I wasn't into Freddie then. Got into watching the show & Freddie & found these boards & site & came on here. & Soon grew to like him more & more. At first I thought I didn't drool anymore over my fave stars, just thought they were cute. But I hung out on here enough that ya'll helped me love him more & get drooling over him & now I can't stop LOL! Thanks for the past 2 yrs Freddie! :) :) Thanks TVLAND for helping me discover Freddie....
He is one HOT Hunga-rican!!!! :) :)
Pitooey 01-06-2003, 10:01 AM 2 years.......... How time flies. Imagine it's been 28 years since Chico debuted on TV.
As for me I remember when Chico and the Man came on TV 2 years ago. I was estatic. I just wish they would bring it back. My feelings for Chico/Freddie are and will always be Strong. Are my feelings stronger? I think I will always have a special part in my heart for this man until the day I die. How's that for strong?
hue_mee 01-06-2003, 07:09 PM This is really odd because I was just thinking about this on the way home. The marathon and how all we got together. Some have up and gone to pursue other interests and the rest of us have stayed and kept the excitement growing in there each individual way. I have always loved the show and still to this day watch an episode or two daily. My feelings for the show as well as the cast members are still as strong as they were when the show first aired in 74 and when TVLand put it on it's line up. Thanks for the memories!
Prince 01-06-2003, 09:20 PM Well I just had to get in on this one. I am with the rest of you...it's hard to believe that it has been two whole years since CATM aired on TV Land. I am so glad it did. It reintroduced me to a young man that had such incredible talent and heart. I love the chemistry between Freddie & Jack...it is and always will be endearing. My love for Freddie seem to grow more each day. He has made it possible for me to meet such wonderful and hopefully life long friends...gracias Freddie. May we keep Freddie's memory alive for a long time to come. Thanks everyone for posting at this board and doing just that.
Luckymama58 01-06-2003, 10:39 PM I don't know about the rest of you, but I have always attributed the events of the past two years as Freddie's determined spirit working in the minds of the folks at TVLand. I know he never wanted to be forgotten. He always wanted to be a legend. He always wanted to be remembered for his talent and his sweet nature. Even in his despair, he wanted to be remembered. And just when it looked like people would forget, forget the incredible talent and person that was Freddie, TVLand brought his memory back to those who loved him once and still love him and even introduced him to a whole new batch of fans. Heres to you, Freddie, mi amor. Thanks for the memories and the fun and especially for the friendships I have made here over the past two years. You may be gone from this Earth in the flesh, but your spirit still resides in our hearts. :loveya:
Luckymama58 01-06-2003, 11:01 PM Freddie asked me to post this for all his fans:
Prince 01-06-2003, 11:28 PM I second those emotions Luckymama. It's called Freddie Magic...and he has cast his spell...I love it.
hue_mee 01-07-2003, 09:52 PM Freddie has and will always be a part of me that I can never let go. Some of us or most of us that LOVE FREDDIE as well as other interests, know even though we have other interests posted here in these threads. Whether it be on our signature threads or popping up in other topics doesn't mean we are losing interest in our beloved Prinze or any other member of the cast in general. I love Freddie as well as my other billion other interests.
Freddie just has to be on top. I would like to thank Freddie for bringing us together, as friends, writers, and artists.
THANK YOU FREDDIE

Karen64 01-08-2003, 03:29 PM Doesn't seem like 2 years! I remember the day I found this site--it was during a rare day off to myself and I was bored and lonely...
Iwas looking for stuff on the internet about Freddie Prinze, (patiently wading through all of the Freddie Junior sites) and I stumbled on this site; not only discussing Freddie, but one of my favorite shows as a kid, Chico And The Man!
I was so glad there were other people who shared my interests!
And I met a lot of really neat people thru this site! :bighug:
Cheryl Harrell 01-09-2003, 04:37 PM My time flies when you're having fun! & Being here sure has been fun! :)

What a butt! Woo-Hoo! :) :)
Cheryl Harrell 01-19-2003, 04:28 PM I think Freddie knows what we are writing about him on these boards & the other Freddie/CATM boards & the e-mail lists like the YAHOO & MSN groups because of something that happend to me just now.
I was reading a topic on one of the Freddie YAHOO Groups that asked would you have wanted to marry Freddie if you could. I had replied that even tho I wasn't into him back then even tho I loved to watch CATM back then that I had gotten into him thru the TVLAND re-runs. & Now if I were single & he were here I would've married him. Well, I heard a crash & guess what! THe cardboard stand up of Freddie advertising the LOOKING GOOD album that I had bought on E-Bay awhile back-- I had it sitting on one of the speakers of the stereo in the den. Well it had fallen down right while I was replying to that message. Even stranger yet my reply hasn't shown up in that group yet. I bet he knew from up in heaven what I was writing & was letting me know he sees everything we write about him from heaven & knows about it.
That is really strange LOL! Wow...
hue_mee 01-19-2003, 04:41 PM OMG! Cheryl that picture of Freddie is putting me in heat!! LOL! To have his hands wrapped around me would cure any ailment! Oh baby!!!..... Coming doctor for my hug therapy!!!
Pitooey 01-19-2003, 11:34 PM WoW Cheryl......... I believe he does know that we talk about him.
Remember that time that I was on the computer and I had this feeling that Freddie was telling me to put "Don't use drugs" on my signature....... I felt him telling me to put that because there are alot of young people who come to this site. I've never taken it out. I heard him tell me to put that. It was a wierd feeling.......
By the way that Freddie butt picture is cool. I want to take that girls head out and place my head there.
