To all "Small Wonder" fans:
This used to be (and still is) one of my all-time favorite TV episodes. I'd love to see it come back to TV again. Say, Fox (who owns the show)... do you know there's $$ in putting this show back into national syndication?
[A bit of history and trivia: The show was Fox's first series (not "Married... with Children") as a network and a fifth season of "Small Wonder" was pulled at the 11th hour not because of ratings (it managed to pull a "7" average for its 4-season run) but because Fox thought it's day was over. Boy, were they wrong!]
And with the return to the 80's sitcoms back to TV (look at how many 80's-era TV series are being played in a day!), I'd love to see this series come back and make it's run in the 21st Century. If a national network would run it, I'd be there to watch it again! It would be like being a kid all over again. Heck, it even made a spot appearence in "Back to the Future, Part II" (look at the "Cafe 80's" scene and look at the TV screens closely. On the DVD version, I saw a "Small Wonder" clip being played over and over in the upper left corner. And it's only visable for a few seconds at a time. I'll be darned if I could tell which episode it was that was playing!).
And I like to think that I am not alone in this sentiment. Since I have "re-discovered" the series at Christmas (thanks to VH-1's "We love the 80's: 1985 episode"), I have been closely watching for any sign of "SW"'s return. Alas, I've been disappointed in this respect. I implore all "SW" fans to write in and let the national networks know we want to see Vicki and the gang back on the air. This is a great show for people of all ages. Bring back "Small Wonder"!
