Assuming that they still did the New Hampshire storyline, do you think Bill McNeal would have been pursuaded to leave as easily as the rest of the staff. Also, if Bill was in the finale, and they knew it was the last episode, do you think there would have been a goodbye scene between Dave and Bill?

Also, do you think Bill would have taken Johnny Johnson's side like everyone else (especially Max) did?

There are some characters that when they leave a show, I really don't miss them. Catherine Duke, I liked it better with her there, but I didn't really miss her when she left. As for Bill McNeal, I really missed him. That shows how great of a character he was. And how great Phil Hartman was to make the office jerk, a character to remember. Kudos Mr. Hartman.

I think Bill would have stayed with Dave and Matthew. News reporting is his life and i can't see him moving to the countryside, unless maybe Mr. James made him an offer he couldn't refuse.

I can't see him taking Johnny's side either. He would have sided with Dave.

Bill move to the country--Never!! Bill constantly would belittle rural people such a dave & the people at the St. Louis Airport (Airport).

Bill would suck up to Johnny, especially if Johnny had the power. Although deep down he cared for Jimmy, he'd look out for himself in the end, thenarrogantly lie & say that he was with Jimmy all along after Johnny was defeated. Case in point, "Who's the Boss?--part 2" everyone voted for Lisa & no one voted for dave & Bill still had the gall to claim that he voted for Dave.
