1. Was the Baby Ruth candy bar, named after the baseball star Babe Ruth? Or did they get the idea of the name of the candy bar, from his name?
2. Was Babe Ruth the baseball star's real name?

I messed up. If they named the candy bar after Babe Ruth, then of course they got the idea from his name. :lol:

There is a lot of specutlation about who the Baby Ruth candy bar was named after.
While most would think the candy was named after the Babe, who at the time was arguably the most famous guy in America, the candy company claims the candy bar was named after President Cleveland's baby daughter Ruth.
Some think the company simply tried to cash in on Babe Ruth's fame and made up the President Cleveland's daughter story so they didn't have to pay him for any royalties.
