She is helping her mother move and sells an old vase.
The vase turns out to be important ( I think it had an uncle's ashes in it at one time, but not during the ep.) and Marion runs around trying to find it. She comes back soaking wet b/c it was pouring w/the vase which she bought back for $100. She excitedly tells her mother who then says something like "that old thing". Marion then throws the vase down in disgust , breaking it.
Mother Kelp then suddenly gets sad saying it was the only thing she had to remember the uncle by. Marion then gets pissed and tells her mother that she's tired of her treating her so badly. She tells her that she won't be back and she'll be all alone. They have a discussion in which Mother Kelp reveals she acts critical because she' afraid Marion won't need her anymore and they make up.

I did a search and was just browsing... What kind of name does Marion's mother have? Kelp?

Howard seems to take it pretty well though that Marion's mother doesn't like him..
