I swear, between this article and an article I read a few months ago where some people wanted to put advertisements in the middle of your dvd, in the middle of your movie, I am thinking hollywood is completely of its rocker.

These people are making millions of dollars daily. Why do they care about it so much?

It's worse than that.
The article says that Hollywood wants to install technology in digital TV's that essentially monitor what programs, videos or DVDs we watch, to keep track of who is pirating and then selling bootlegs.
At the same time, they can market certain items to viewers based upon the programs they watch.

So, they can spy on us, then sell us stuff.

Pretty cool, huh?

Who said Orwell's vision would never come true? Yes, it seems to be getting closer. It didn't happen in '84, as he thought. Not too bad though, he was only off a few decades.
