As I have stated in the "Worst Movie Ever" thread, I saw Tarzan, the Ape Man last night. I can tell you this, Bo Derek may be good-looking, but she can act better than her performance in this film. This is not all her fault, however. Her husband directed the film and was in charge of the cinematography. He also directed her in "Bolero" and "Ghosts Can't Do It." (He was also the screenwriter for both films.) In this film, Bo plays Jane, who is in Africa looking for her long lost father, whom she finds. She goes on an expedition with him, gets lost and winds up with Tarzan (played by Miles O'Keefe). Sounds good on paper, but if you watch it, you will be surprisingly bored. It lacks action and charm. In fact, it was so bad that it nearly forced the editors of Leonard Maltin's movie encyclopias to devise a lower rating than "BOMB." If you really want to see Derek unclothed, take Maltin's advice: buy a pinup calendar. It's really not worth viewing this film to watch the few scenes of nudity.
