Does it hurt as bad as the dentist makes it out? I have to get all 4 out on Monday, because they hurt like hell.

Well I had to have all 4 of mine pulled also and it wasn't that bad. It was just really inconvenient for me.

I'm 21 and one of my wisdon teeth is just starting to come through. But my dentist says I don't need to get it taken out unless it starts to cause me discomfort which, so far, it hasn't.

My sister has had that done before.

Well i got it done when i was 13. I was allergic to the anesthia (sp?) so my mouth swelled up like a balloon. They had to bring me out in a wheelchair to the car to go back home. It was bad. I was also really really sick for about a week after. But anyway, good luck...lol.

I have to have mone pulled soon as well as a matter of fact. But mine came in weird so I actully have to go to an oral surgeon to have them out.

I had mine out about 4 years ago.. It wouldn't have been too bad, but the surgeon guy had to cut them out because they came in crooked. It hurt like hell, but luckily they gave me some awesome pain meds. After about a week the pain stopped and I could finally eat solid food again.

You too???? I have to get my wisdom teeth pulled also because it's ruining the shape of my teeth and with those damn things in their the 1 and a half years of braces makes it pointless. :mad:

The worst part is not being able to eat anything solid. I wanted a cheeseburger so bad! Yeah, it hurts like hell, but the meds take care of that.

I must be lucky. My dentist said I will never grow wisdom teeth and he proved it by showing me an x-ray of my mouth. I am so happy!

Mine don't hurt at all and they don't bother me, but I'm having 2 pulled out tomorrow, and the other 2 pulled out later.

Just be sure to take the antibiotics they give you. When my brother had his out, he wanted to be all manly and not take pain pills or the antibiotics. Well one side of his face puffed up, he is such and idiot:lol:. Although his were impacted, mabey if you just are getting your pulled you won't need to take any.

Me too. I wasn't born w/ them, thank God.

I hope i dont have em. btw i went to the doctor today for a checkup and they stuck a needle in my arm and made it suck out a crap load of my blood, it was disgusting to watch

i remember marissa had em taken out during the summer. my friend got hers taken out last december. she said it didn't hurt during but it did afterwards. take the medicine they give you and stock up on mashed potatos. at least you'll get it over with. good luck! :D

Ok, so I just got my wisdom teeth pulled out yesterday. It wasn't tooo bad, just a tugging feeling. The shots helped. The sides of my mouth is a little scratched up from their tools. I'm taking 3 meds: 2 for pain, and 1 so that an infection doesn't start. As long as I take the meds on time, it doesn't really bother me. But this morning I woke up late, so it was really hurting. It's feels fine now though. And there are a lot of precautions to it. Like you can't spit or suck through a straw, or eat really hot or spicy foods, you have to eat soft foods....ets. By tonight or tomorrow, I'll probably be able to eat solid food though. And I have my follow up next friday.
