Oh, sorry this is such a late post. I guess this thread slipped by me the last time I was over at this board.

I read online that Brandon wasn't happy with how small his part was (and in the later years it was getting even worse) so he was cut loose. I think he was gone a whole season. You could try searching online for the info about it as well.

He disappeared after the 5th season, and they never mentioned him again, to my knowledge he did not appear on the half season ABC had in the Spring of 1997. He was full released from the show when it debuted on CBS in the Fall of 1997, and did not return for the final episode in the spring of 1998.

alright, thanks for clearing that up, its sorta weird on tv how immediate family members can change get knocked off or totally change without any notice or mention in the dialouge

Brendan is currently sharing an apartment with Chuck Cunningham and Judy from "Family Matters".

It was on CBS for a season? I didn't know that. I guess that must have been after I stopped watching the show.

Yes. It and Family Matters were taken from ABC for their last season. Ironic since Step By Step was a spinoff of Family Matters and ironic in that after the move to CBS, the ratings for both shows were HORRIBLE and both shows were cancelled. Family Matters never got a true Series ender though, the final 2 episodes were made as a SEASON finale, as CBS has told them to finish filming by March so they could begin the 10th season in the Summer, well it never happened, CBS destroyed the sets.
