Looking at the different shows (in the 1970's sitcom category that is!), CATM is still head & shoulders above the rest in the number of topics and posts!!

Only a little over 100 mores posts to go before we break 10,000!

So glad there are so many Freddie & CATM fans to converse with!

ALRIGHT!!! This is so great! I am so proud of our CATM/Freddie Family! It was a cool show that featured incredibly talented individuals. I hope that TVLand is making note of the dedicated fans of this show and continues to broadcast it for years to come.

Yea, I just can't believe that the CATM message board is so popular and yet the show doesn't air in a better time slot. Can you imagine how the board would do if the show was on primetime and many, many more people (women to say the least) could see it?!
This place would be hoppin constantly!!(LOL)

I loved watching the show in the 70's but wasn't into Freddie then. I am glad TVLAND started showing hte show cuz I got into the show & Freddie now! Been watching sicne January & probably got into Freddie in Feb or March. Glad you are able to see him again. When I first got into CATM & Freddie, I did a websearch for him & the show & this was one of the first sites that came up along with the GOODNIGHT SWEET PRINZE site. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

I was into Freddie when I was 12 or 13 and CATM was popular. Then he went and killed himself and it hit me hard, being a confused adolescent! I had the fan mags with him on them, and had bought Maria's book a year after he died. (I suspect my first husband later trashed all that stuff, including my diarys, and other sentimental stuff)
I always had him in the back of my mind; always wondered whatever bacame of his son and estranged wife. Boy, was I surprised when Freddie Jr. burst out onto the scene as an actor, and then when they started playing CATM again! And this message board! Sometimes I feel like I'm 12 again (and life is simple) when I'm watching the show! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

This was a wonderful show and a very talented young man was a good part of the reason, along with the fact that the chemistry of the actors and the characters worked so well. It was a more innocent time for me as well. It was a shock to see Freddie seemingly throw all that away on a lonely night in January. Being 18 and on the brink of starting my own life in college, I had a hard time understanding his motivation at the time. Since I have the wisdom of years behind me now and having the privilege of getting to know this complex young man better through the eyes of those who knew him, especially his mother, I think I can see the demons that tortured his soul. Even though I still think he was the sexiest man alive, I find myself these days wishing that I had the opportunity to become his friend, to talk to him and be a listening ear when he was going through the worst of his pain. Who knows what would have happened if he had such a friend in his life..... Freddie, you know that we miss you.... Be at peace now, mi amor.....
