View Full Version : Please clarify this for me!!!!!
Elizabeth B. 01-02-2003, 12:18 AM OK...I HAD to have imagined this!
Tonight I was watching the ep where the Bradys think Alice and Sam are eloping. After Alice and Sam have an argument, he comes over and apologizes.
He hands her a package and says, "I put a little something extra in here: 4 extra lamb chops and pink panties."
 Is he really saying this? What the heck does this mean? Sounds kind of vulgar! My son and I rewound this several times, and I swear this is what he was saying!
Moonlight Lady 01-02-2003, 05:36 PM  Okay, i'm gonna have to watch this the next time it's on. I won't be able to get this out of my head.
¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 01-03-2003, 02:12 AM  OMG!! Reall?!?! OMG.. I MUST see this next time! LOl
Cactus Jack 01-03-2003, 02:21 AM AGREED!!!!!!!!! LMAO!!!!!
Elizabeth B. 01-04-2003, 03:10 AM I kid y'all not....my 12 year old son and I rewound this like 20 times, and.... as I live and breathe, I SWEAR to you this is what Sam said: "4 extra lamb chops, and some pink panties."
I know the Brady Bunch shows by heart, practically, and I have NEVER noticed this before! We have all the shows on tape, so I can watch them any time, so I'm not at the mercy of TV Land's schedule!
If any of you have this ep, PLEASE watch this and tell me your opinion of what Sam said!!!!! I just cannot believe Sherwood would put that in the script, but my son and I heard it with our own ears!
richheart 01-05-2003, 12:43 AM Pig patties?
Elizabeth B. 01-05-2003, 12:53 AM No, I thought he MAY have said "pig-something," since he is a butcher, but I tell you, I rewound it and he IS saying pink panties!
James 01-05-2003, 02:08 AM "Pink patties"? As in hamburger patties; they're pink before they're cooked. Ask anyone who's worked at McDonald's!
Elizabeth B. 01-05-2003, 03:13 AM As a butcher, Sam probably would have said PORK patties, not pig patties.
I don't know---I just don't know of anyone who uses the term "pig patties."
I might not eat sausage biscuits if they had "pig patties" on them instead of sausage!
I am SURE this is not what Sam said, though. You can just TELL in the dialogue because it's pretty clear what he was saying.

Jack1000 01-09-2003, 04:55 PM Hey!
OMG!!!!! I remember that dialoge now!!! Sam does say "Four extra lamb chops and pink panties!!!!!!!!" It's absolutely true!!!!!
(And nobody shows the cut swimming pool discussion anymore from "Goodbye Alice Hello!") hahahahaha
And we have Carol watching Bobby taking a bath!!! LOL!
Just restore the "Goodbye Alice Hello" scene anybody!!!
Than we would have "3 versions of an R-rated 'Brady Bunch'"
This is an interesting observation.....hummmmmm!

Elizabeth B. 01-10-2003, 01:11 AM More X-rated Brady allusions:
They even mention the wod "sex" in an episode!
Oliver told Cindy, "I think your mom has a problem discussing sex!" (Greg's Orange Hair" episode)
And remember the "Mark Millard" episode? A jealous Sam said to Alice (regarding the grocer), "I know how much you like to "squeeze his melons!" Hmmmm....;)
Remember the episode "Jam the Most Popular Girl?" Mr. and Mrs. Brady were trying to get reservations at a ski lodge, and "Carol said, "But Mike, we haven't skied in years!" Mike said, "Who skis on a honeymoon?" Carol said, "Yeah, we could limp around and nobody will know the difference!" In other words, they were counting on being too sore, not from skiing but from too much--ahem--"inside cabin activities!"
Upon my word, Mrs. Brady, control yourself!!!!
richiethec 01-11-2003, 01:58 PM i think Carol implied limping around pretending they skiid, but your observation on the pink panties is very interesting...like yourself, my brothers and i know every single episode, and i can't recall that comment !! ...
Impressions 01-11-2003, 06:00 PM As the show progresses, I think some of the writers decided that the characters should have storylines with new issues and they wanted some of the characters to be ahead of their time, after-all they weren't always going to be the wholesome American family.
But this seems to be a interesting topic, I have never noticed these revealing secrets, I'm going to have to look into the small details next time, thanks for posting them, LOL.

Actually, the "risque" line in "Alice's September Song" is when Sam is trying to guess the other man that Alice is seeing! Angrily he says, "Oh it's Malcom at the vegtable stand!" Alice says, "Malcom?" Sam says, "Sure, I see the way he looks at you when you thump his honeydews!!!!" LOL!
("I thought this was supposed to be a family sitcom!!!" hahaha)

   All of this is cracking me up LOl.
Elizabeth B. 01-23-2003, 09:37 PM You are right!!!
It IS "thump his honeydews!" (Squeeze his melons--  )
I cannot believe I actually missed a Brady quote!!!!!
I just saw the "pink panties" episode the other day. I thought Sam said it in reference to the argument he and Alice had--about romantic gifts (he was trying to make giving her the meat seem more romantic). The meat was wrapped in pink paper.
Elizabeth B. 10-10-2003, 10:07 AM he was trying to make giving her the meat seem more romantic
OK, I can read a lot into that. ;)
But seriously, why would he not just say "pink paper" then? It doesn't sound nearly as vulgar.
I just don't believe the script writers would ever make a reference to "panties" on the show, know what I mean? I guess that's why this surprised me so much.
