NORM 01-01-2003, 05:22 PM Well.......(o by the way my name is Steve) I remember glimses of cheers as a child. I thought it was a funny show but didn't really think about it much seeing as i was like 7. As the years went on i went through some odd phases, now that i look back i have to say what the hell was i thinking. The first movie i ever saw George Wendt in was "Man of the House". He played a charachter named Chet Bronski in that movie(I dunno if u've seen it). Later on when Nick at Nite began playing cheers i have to admit i didn't care for the show that much. But after a week of watching it caught on and i began to love it. I was able to put the actors and their charachters in their own place and i was particular to George Wendt because he was familiar to me.(And i knew who Kirstie Alley was but let's not go into that. The more i watched the more Norm began to humor me more and more. That is when i began looking for some feedback on Wendt. Anything he played in whether it was a starring role or just a cameo i had to have it. I spent most of my time after school looking for pictures, bios and interviews, whatever. I just think he is a great actor and a tremendous person. I hope to some day meet him and just shake hands with him and tell him that i appreciate the impact he has had on me. I just get a thrill out of seeing him in movies and television. Now i save up my money and buy his movies and whatever is out there. My room is stocked with pictures of him and i have even made a bio on him from what i know. If you have any ?s about him u can ask and i can probably tell u. Sometimes my parents get a little scared but then they just laugh and say damn your weird. If i seem like a head case i'm not. This is just what i'm into. If you asked me about skateboarding i would come off the same way. George Wendt is just someone i look up too and i will always admire him for what he's done. Is that so wrong? Brian Damage 01-01-2003, 05:40 PM Not at all, I was just curious. I thought it would be a good topic to get going. I don't find anything wrong with you admiring George Wendt. Have you seen any of his old Meister Brau commercials? NORM 01-01-2003, 05:49 PM No actually i haven't.. I'll look for them on the web. Yeah i was hoping i didn't come off as a pscho. And i'm not so sure how long this conversation s going to go on either. but hey, it'll be fun to hear what people have to say about me. Brian Damage 01-01-2003, 06:03 PM Don't get me wrong, I didn't intend for this topic to just talk about you. I was hoping that other people will post who on Cheers they like or admire etc, etc. I just thought thatit was interesting that you admire George Wendt so much. That's cool. NORM 01-01-2003, 06:10 PM O Janice 01-02-2003, 02:28 AM I think it's cool to really like a certain celebrity. I've gone through that over the years. Years ago, during the 80s, I was so hooked on David Letterman it wasn't even funny. It always seems to taper off in time with me anyway. You don't sound like a psycho at all Steve. George Wendt is a nice guy and it's good that you look up to him. :) NORM 01-02-2003, 03:04 AM Thanx. George Wendt IS a nice guy. does this mean u have met him or that u sre just saying that he is a nice guy. And i too have gone through some phases, but i don't think this one is going to taper off. George Wendt is going to be in a movie coming out too. but i don't know too much about it. Janice 01-02-2003, 03:14 AM No, I haven't met George, but in the entertainment industry, word travels fast if someone is a jerk. No bad press on George Wendt. I've seen him in interviews, and he seems very nice. It's accepted by people that he's a good guy. |
