What a superb job wheeeone. I didn't realize there were so many articles on him - like in Good Housekeeping for instance. Did you save them over the years or did you just start searching and collecting them again recently? Thank you so much for sharing such a lovely tribute to Freddie with us.

Thank you so much for your comments. Cat, I just started going out to the out of the way used bookstores out here about 5 months ago....I WISH I had saved all of the magazines I had bought in the 70's with Freddie. Prices vary so much from one bookstore to the next but , of course, Freddie is worth it.
Hillbilly, no problem...thank you.

Nice site! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif I'm putting a link to it on my site. We may have lost a Freddie site but we gained a new one! I wrote more in reponse to this (Like when reading poems & some of the articles & pics I had to get a hanky, they were so sweet & sad.) but when I tried to post it it said I had more than 8 smilies etc & wouldn't let me post & to go back. I went back & lost everything I wrote. Y*****y! LOL! I was glad to see a pic of him in the tux with sequined lapels that he wore in the Dean Martin Roasts. In one of the articles it said he wanted to commit suicide a yr before he met Kathy. Why didn't anyone help him then? Why? It's sooo sad... (Tears again.) Even tho I never knew you Freddie, I care & you are my friend. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/heart.gif

Wheeeone, what a wonderful job! Your poetry is beautiful--it and your remembrances of your meetings with Freddie still make me cry no matter how many times I read them! I also love what you have done with the "special effects" on the pictures, especially the one from the Parade magazine article on Jr. (the one with the sunglasses on his head, which is duplicated, colorized, and titled "Take a ride on the merry-go-round") So glad you posted the Good Housekeeping article--I saw that magazine in a lot with a couple of others on ebay, but didn't bid since I didn't want any but the one with Freddie. Thanx mucho for the opportunity to read it! And bless you for your personal note addressing the conflicts which have arisen on some sites, including this one. I hope you get your wish that nothing of the sort comes up on yours, and I hope no others ever come up anywhere in the Freddie community anymore! Again, lovely site--I highly recommend it!
