neone else notice that tonights ep (where Sam hits on the Crane's friend and she tells him that he has no life) was kinda remastered/kinda not?

like it was clearer (most shots) like remastered eps, but the whole thing was darker than usual. there were a few grainy shots but they werent as bad as a 'real' unremastered episode

btw...did anyone notice that the pic of Sam pitching that hangs on the bar (near the bell) wasnt there this ep, instead, a plaque or award of some kind?

I didn't see the episode last night. But I did see "One Happy Pappy in a Snappy Serape" again last week. Again, it was completely unremastered and it got worse as it continued. It's like N@N got through 270 episodes and said "You know, we don't need to do this anymore. Let's just run the unremastered episodes and shots and be done with this."

it was actually Paramount w/ James Burrows who remastered the eps. N@N only is the first station 2 air them

id like 2 know how they remastered Cheers. cuz the Diane yrs. were all consistent and done (plus rebecca's first yr. 6) but starting season 7, and even the whole way to the last season 11, most r remastered, but theres no pattern or reason. most of the unremastered scenes are in eps. that are all other remastered shots.

also in the later seasons, multi-part episodes sometimes have weird opening themes (ie. theyre still short but they might be in the regular key, or they might be unremastered recordings but w/ remastered pics). i dunno...thats n@n's weirdness there lol
