...I can't add the number of posters correctly. I have been trying this for a week. Every time I try figure out the number of people with 0 posts and the number of people with 1 post and add the rest up, the sum doesn't come out correctly. It doesn't help that during the times I try to add it, we get a new member or two. I do know one thing. We actually have more (a helluvalot more, as a matter of fact) members with 0 posts than members with 1 post. What do you think of that?

It's ridiculous if you ask me!!! I don't see why TJ won't delete them since they are not being used. I feel sorry for the people who want to use one of those names but can't.

Months ago, someone suggested to TJ to remove those names but he said guests who saw so huge a number of members are more likely to register and become active posters.

Why bother to register if you aren't gonna say anything? When I registered I posted a reply to something that I wanted to reply too.

If I were TJ I would delete those 0 or 1 posts. Especially if they've been on for more than a year.

I know...it drives me crazy. It's not fair, really. What about if we emailed him and asked if he could delete the one that we wanted? Would that work?

But there are some people who don't post for over a year who do come back. I was one of them.

As for the people who have 0 or 1 posts and haven't posted forever, I wouldn't count on their return.

I think TJ should email all the users with 1 or less post telling them that if they dont do something, he will delete their account, that way someone else can have their name. But it should be inactive for atleast a year. I registered last year, didnt post anything (I thought I did, but it didnt show up) and came back this past June and now come here everyday. So, what Im saying is, I forgot about it for a year... so if its been inactive for atleast a year or more, TJ should delete them.

TJ can't force people to become regular posters.

Yeah, but he can tell them that if they don't come and be active, he'll delete their account.

On my board, there are 63 members (:() and of those 63, 47 have 0 or 1 posts. I should delete those accounts, but I'm too lazy.....:D

Yea.. thats what I meant. Just a warning like- if you dont post on your sn, Ill be forced to delete it in case someone else wants that name.

I think that is very reasonable. Warning someone if they don't post on their SN is a good idea-I mean If people never post on them why keep them? It's more fair to members who want a SN that's already taken, because chances are, that the SN they want is used by someone who never posts..ever.

Wouldn't all the people that didn't post any kind of scare some newbies off? What if they look at the members list and see all the 0's and 1's and think that the boards must suck and they leave? I know we have members that have numerous posts, but the little posters prob. outrank the ones that have a lot of posts....

I agree. And it's not like if your account is deleted you can't reregister, and just because it's deleted doesn't mean someone will just swoop in and take your name, it might still be there.
