View Full Version : I've never heard of this show ilovesitcoms82 12-28-2002, 10:48 PM UM ok tv star collector 10-23-2005, 04:00 PM UM ok THE CHARMINGS (ABC, 1987-1988) was a short-lived sit-com updating of the Snow White fairy tale, in which Snow and Prince Charming fell asleep in the Enchanted Forest and woke up in 20th-century California. Caitlin O'Heaney (of TALES OF THE GOLD MONKEY) played Snow in the first few episodes. She was replaced by Carol Huston (later of MATLOCK). Christopher Rich (of REBA) was the Prince. The series also starred Judy Parfitt (as Queen Lillian), dwarf Cork Hubbert as Luther (a dwarf, what else?), Paul Winfield as the Mirror, and Brandon Call and Garette Ratliffe as the Charmings' two children. Dori Brenner and Paul Eiding were the perplexed neighbors, the Millers. Not a great show but not terrible, either. I taped a couple of episodes. TJAMES03 11-02-2005, 01:25 AM I wish that I have never heard of this series too.... Rambo Stallone 07-20-2009, 12:47 PM This show doesn't sound funny was this produced by Disney.I be really surprise if this ever came out on DVD when plenty haven't or finished their complete series. littletydramon 02-15-2010, 07:00 PM I personally loved this series. Have watched my full series tapes a number of times and I'm also hoping it comes out on dvd someday. If even shorter, lesser-known series can be released these days why not The Charmings? :) catlover79 02-15-2010, 09:05 PM I remember this show vaguely. I remember Chris Rich (from Another World and Reba) being on the show, and Brandon Call (Step By Step) was one of the children. Mainly I remember Paul Winfield as the Magic Mirror...and he had some of the best lines. Retro4Life 02-15-2010, 10:03 PM Yup, I think this show deserved a longer run. It was kind of sharp and biting in its satire and I loved the bickering between the mirror and the queen. :) |
