It had recently been airing for three straight years in a row on Odyssey/Hallmark Channel. I am not sure if it's been sold to syndication. Maybe Viacom or Hallmark International owns it. Try writing Alien Produtions, they'll give you info! Pavan 12-29-2002, 04:42 PM Originally posted by Brett Ferino Do they own the rights? Even though Hallmark owns the rights... is it still possible that it can air on any Viacom station? Because I remember when ALF aired a few times on N@N, Hallmark still had the rights. SBTB Geek 12-29-2002, 08:57 PM Thanks for clearing that up. I can't believe it was that long ago! It's almost THREE years ago. Personally... that was the last week that I've ever enjoyed watching N@N. I was happy to see Silver Spoons, FOL, and ALF back on TV. Pavan 12-29-2002, 08:59 PM Actually, it was March 2001, my mistake. bb25 12-29-2002, 11:32 PM By "on hiatus" do you mean they might possibly be running it again sometime, or is that just a nice way of saying that they still own the rights but won't air it ever again...? EJoshuaP18 01-05-2003, 09:07 PM Actually "On Hiatus" means both of what you said. "On Hiatus" is a term in television that, well is really meant as "being on hold." Now, "On Hiatus" is simply a nice way of saying show is cancelled. Back when 3rd Rock was put on hiatus, a news article released saying the show in on hiatus, which is a sure way of labeling it "CANCELLED." So we don't exactly know whats going to happen to ALF on Hallmark. It could come back or it could never show up in the future, chances are, it probably will. The network is playing mind games with us. I do know this, Hallmark doesn't want to me to voice my opinion on them, I think it'll cause feelings to be hurt. somebody 01-25-2003, 02:14 PM Alien Productions is no longer. I have tried to contact them, but all times had failed. |
